Mobile app development company in Raleigh for SaaS and B2B founders

Raleigh and Triangle founders hire our mobile app development company to build SaaS products, B2B web apps, mobile apps and AI features. A first version usually costs $7,000 to around $25,000 to $30,000 and goes live in 5 to 10 weeks. We put the scope and price in writing after a free 30-minute call, and the code is yours from the first commit.

Written scope and quote after the call. NDA on request. You own the code.

Teams we have built software for

Triangle founders who cannot wait months to hire engineers get a launched first version in about 7 weeks, then hire a team around a product that already has users.

Our team is 16 in-house engineers in San Francisco plus 30+ remote specialists, led by our CTO Shivam Pujara. Raleigh is three hours ahead of us, so afternoon calls in Raleigh land in our morning. Beyond startups, we have shipped software for Citi, Spirit Airlines and the Miami Dolphins.

How to hire an app developer in Raleigh: 5 things to settle first

  1. What is the smallest release one customer will pay for?

A narrow MVP that one buyer will pay for ships in weeks and teaches you more than a broad one. We help you decide what waits for version two.

  2. Can your first engineer take over the code?

Choose a common stack and insist on documentation, so your first hire can take over. Our handover includes a recorded walkthrough and written docs.

  3. Is your SaaS subject to sales tax?

The NC Department of Revenue treats web-hosted software that customers access but do not download as exempt from sales tax. Confirm your pricing with an accountant.

  4. Which privacy laws apply to your app?

North Carolina has no broad consumer privacy law, but its breach statute requires prompt notice, and selling into other states can bring their laws. List your data and your customers' states before scoping.

  5. Is the repository in your name from day one?

Investors will ask. With us, code, hosting and accounts are in your company's name from the first commit.

What do you want to build in Raleigh?

For Raleigh clients we build mobile apps, web apps and SaaS, AI features, custom software, MVPs and CRM setups.

Why Raleigh founders hire our mobile app development agency

Leaving a Triangle software company to start your own, or turning research into a product? Most of you need the same first build: a SaaS product with accounts, billing and an admin view, or an MVP narrow enough to sell to one customer type. Probado, a testing marketplace we shipped in 8 weeks, cut a round of user testing from 3 weeks to 4 days.

If you already have a product and a small team, we add what the team has no time for: AI features tested against your own data, a customer portal or an integration. Ingio, our AI assistant platform for Think K-12, lets a business deploy an assistant in 20 minutes instead of 6 to 8 weeks. We work in your repository with code review and a weekly demo, so your engineers stay in control.

Which North Carolina laws change how your app is built?

The North Carolina rules we design consent screens, data retention and breach logging around. A planning summary, not legal advice.

RuleWhat it means for the build
Consumer privacy lawNo comprehensive consumer privacy law in force as of 2026-10-31. Apps serving users in other states still need to meet those states' rules, and sector laws (health, finance, children) apply regardless.
Data breach notificationN.C. Gen. Stat. § 75-65: notice deadline without unreasonable delay. We build audit logs that show what data was touched, so notice can be accurate and on time.
Sales tax on SaaSnot taxable: NCDOR SUPLR 2011-0008: web-hosted prewritten software accessed but not downloaded is exempt; downloaded prewritten software taxable.. Relevant if you will sell your app as a subscription.
Time zoneEastern. Our team works from San Francisco (Pacific), with remote specialists covering other hours, so Raleigh working hours overlap with ours every weekday.

Checked 2026-10-31 against state sources; confirm with counsel before launch.

Mobile app development company in Raleigh: questions people ask

How much does it cost to build an app in Raleigh?

With us, most first versions cost $7,000 to around $25,000 to $30,000. A focused MVP for one customer type sits near the low end; billing, several user roles, AI features and integrations push it higher. Raleigh founders pay the same as anyone else, and we put the scope and price in writing after a free 30-minute call.

How long does it take to build a SaaS MVP?

Across the 44 builds we publish, a first release took between 5 and 10 weeks, and the median was 7. Probado, a testing marketplace, took 8 weeks and Ingio, an AI assistant platform, took 7. Integrations and approval steps on your side add more time than screens do, so we fix the schedule once the scope is agreed.

Can you build an MVP for a university spinout or early-stage Triangle startup?

Yes. We scope the smallest version a first customer will pay for or pilot, build it in weeks, and document it so your future engineers can take over. Spinouts often need a clean demo for investors and a working pilot for one partner, and we plan the release around those two dates.

Does North Carolina have a privacy law my SaaS app must follow?

North Carolina has no comprehensive consumer privacy law as of November 2026, though its breach statute, N.C. Gen. Stat. § 75-65, requires notice without unreasonable delay. If you sell to customers in Virginia, Tennessee or other states with privacy laws, their rules can apply. We map where your users are and design consent and data access to match.

Do I need app developers in Raleigh, or can a remote team build my product?

A remote team works when you see progress every week. Raleigh is three hours ahead of San Francisco, so your afternoon overlaps our working morning. We demo each week, ship to a staging link you can test, and agree scope in writing before work starts. We do not have a Raleigh office.

How do I choose a mobile app development company in Raleigh?

Look for published builds with named clients and measurable results, then ask who writes the code and how they hand it over. Get the scope and price in writing, and make sure the code and accounts are in your name.

Can your developers work alongside our in-house engineers?

Yes. We agree who owns which part of the product, work in your repository with pull requests and code review, and release to a shared staging environment each week. Many Triangle teams use us for one new product or feature set while their own engineers keep the core product moving.

Can you add AI features to an existing product?

Yes. We build retrieval over your data, document extraction, drafting and assistant features, and we create a test set first so quality is measured before release. Ingio, which we built for Think K-12, deploys AI assistants in 20 minutes. When a feature does not need AI, we tell you.

Who owns the source code of my app?

Whoever the contract names, so read that clause before you sign. With us, your company owns the source code, designs, hosting, app store accounts and data from the first commit, because we set them up in your name. Investors will ask. At handover you also get a recorded video walkthrough and written documentation, so the code is usable, not just owned.

What if my app developer quits halfway through the project?

Then what matters is where the work lives. If the repository, hosting and accounts are already in your name, a new team can pick up from the last commit; if they are in the developer's name, you may have to start over. We work in your accounts from the first commit, and with 16 in-house engineers, one person leaving does not stop your project.

How much does it cost to maintain an app?

It depends on hosting, third-party services and how often you want changes, so ask for those costs separately from the build price. Hosting and service fees are billed to your own accounts. If you want us for fixes and new features after launch, that support is optional and billed per hour. You can also hand the code to your own engineers, using the walkthrough and documentation we deliver.
