Mobile app development company in Florida, built to Florida's rules
We are a mobile app development company working with Florida businesses remotely, building booking platforms, staff tools, web apps and custom software. Most projects cost $7,000 to around $25,000 to $30,000, the first release ships in 5 to 10 weeks, and you get the price in writing after a free 30-minute call. The code, store accounts and hosting end up in your name.
Written scope and quote after the call. NDA on request. You own the code.
Teams we have built software for
Florida companies should book us because we have already shipped Florida builds, and your app arrives in about 7 weeks with breach-notice logging and age checks planned in from day one.
Two of our published builds are Florida projects: the premium suite platforms for the Miami Dolphins and the Miami Open. Our 16-person engineering team works in-house from San Francisco with 30+ remote specialists, and we have also shipped software for Spirit Airlines and Citi. Your afternoon in Florida is our morning, so there is a shared working window every weekday.

How to compare app development companies in Florida
Ask every firm on your Florida shortlist for a written price, launch times on named projects, who writes the code, and whose name the code and store accounts are in. Our answers: $7k to $30k, a first release in 5 to 10 weeks, Shivam Pujara's in-house team, and everything in your name. The full list is in how to choose a software development company.
Why Florida businesses hire our mobile app developers
You get a team that has already shipped in Florida. For the Miami Dolphins we replaced phone-and-PDF suite sales with a platform that cut inquiry to signed contract from 21 days to 6, in 9 weeks. For the Miami Open we built session-by-session hospitality booking that took completion from 19% to 68%. If you sell seats, rooms, tours, appointments or services, a web app or mobile app built the same way lets customers book and pay without waiting on your staff. See every result on our work page.
You also get the compliance questions answered before the first screen. Florida requires breach notices within 30 days and is enforcing its social media rules for under-16 users while the court case continues, so we tell you on the free call which rules touch your app and build the logging, consent and access controls to match. After launch you get a recorded walkthrough and written documentation, and support is optional, billed per hour. Check our pricing before the call.
How to hire an app developer in Florida: 5 things to settle first
- How fast must you send a breach notice?
Under Fla. Stat. 501.171 you must notify affected people within 30 days, and the Attorney General too if 500 or more Floridians are affected. Ask for access logs that let you answer "what was exposed" in hours, not weeks.
- Will minors use the app?
Florida's HB 3 social media law is enforceable: the 11th Circuit reversed the injunction against it on October 14, 2026, though litigation continues. It targets platforms with addictive features, but if under-16s can sign up, settle age gating in the scope.
- Does the Digital Bill of Rights apply to you?
It covers only companies with over $1 billion in global revenue that meet one more test. Almost every Florida business we build for falls outside it, so you should not pay for compliance work you do not need.
- Will the app work offline in hurricane season?
From June 1 to November 30, field and property apps need offline saving. Designing it in costs far less than adding it after the first storm.
- Are scope, price and ownership in writing?
Ask any developer for the screens, integrations, milestones, price and who owns the code on paper. Ours arrives after the free call, and our pricing page shows what moves a build toward $30,000.
Which Florida laws change how your app is built?
The Florida rules we design consent screens, data retention and breach logging around. A planning summary, not legal advice.
| Rule | What it means for the build |
|---|---|
| Consumer privacy law | Florida Digital Bill of Rights (Fla. Stat. §§ 501.701-501.722 (controller definition § 501.702(9))), in effect from 2024-07-01. Applies to: NARROW: for-profit with >$1 billion global gross annual revenue AND one of: >=50% of revenue from online ad sales; operates a consumer smart speaker/voice assistant; or operates an app store/digital distribution platform with >=250,000 apps. Plan for access, deletion and opt-out requests in the admin panel. |
| Data breach notification | Fla. Stat. § 501.171: notice deadline 30 days (+15 days for good cause); AG notice within 30 days if >=500 individuals. We build audit logs that show what data was touched, so notice can be accurate and on time. |
| HB 3 (2024) social media minors, Fla. Stat. § 501.1736 | Platforms with addictive features meeting the usage test: no accounts under 14, parental consent for 14-15. Enforceable: 11th Cir. stayed the injunction 2025-11-25 and reversed it 2026-10-14; litigation continues. (effective 2025-01-01) |
| Sales tax on SaaS | not taxable: Rule 12A-1.032: custom software is a service; electronically delivered software exempt. TAA 16A-014 found subscriptions/cloud computing not taxable. Taxable if bundled with TPP.. Relevant if you will sell your app as a subscription. |
| Time zone | Eastern and Central. Our team works from San Francisco (Pacific), with remote specialists covering other hours, so Florida working hours overlap with ours every weekday. |
Checked 2026-10-31 against state sources; confirm with counsel before launch.

Alpit PatelFounder and CEOEngineering is led by co-founder and CTO Shivam Pujara.Mobile app development company in Florida: questions people ask
How much does it cost to build an app in Florida?
Most apps and web apps we build cost $7,000 to around $25,000 to $30,000. A focused first version sits near the low end, while payments, several user roles and integrations push it higher. Being in Florida does not change the price. You get the number in writing after a free 30-minute call, before any work starts.
How long does app development take for a Florida business?
The 44 builds on our work page went live in 5 to 10 weeks each; the typical one took 7. The Miami Dolphins suite platform took 9 weeks and the Miami Open booking platform took 8. If you sell into a season or an event date, count back from your on-sale day and leave time to test with real buyers.
Have you built apps for Florida companies before?
Yes. We built the premium suite booking platform for the Miami Dolphins, which cut inquiry to signed contract from 21 days to 6, and the hospitality booking platform for the Miami Open, which raised booking completion from 19% to 68%. We also built the group booking system for Spirit Airlines. All three case studies are on our work page.
Which Florida privacy laws apply to a new app?
For most businesses, the breach law is the one that matters: Florida Statute 501.171 requires notice to affected people within 30 days. The Florida Digital Bill of Rights only covers companies with more than $1 billion in revenue plus one more test. If under-16s can open accounts, the HB 3 social media law may also apply.
Do I need an app developer located in Florida?
No. We have no Florida office and say so plainly: our team works from San Francisco, three hours behind Eastern time, and our mornings line up with your afternoons. The western Panhandle is on Central time, which widens the overlap. Both of our Florida sports builds were delivered remotely, with weekly video demos and a shared test build.
How do I choose a mobile app development company in Florida?
Judge on proof, not ads or rankings. Ask for published builds with named clients and measured results, who will actually write the code, a written scope and quote, and a clear answer on who owns the code and accounts. Then compare timelines. A developer who will not put those in writing is a risk wherever they are based.
Can you build a booking app for a seasonal Florida business?
Yes, it is our most repeated pattern. The core is live inventory so two customers never book the same slot, pricing rules for peak and off-peak dates, online payment, and a back office for your staff. Start scoping about three months before your season opens, so the app is tested before sales begin rather than during them.
Can AI build an entire app for my business?
Not on its own for most business apps. AI builders can produce screens and a working prototype, but a booking app that takes payments, holds live inventory and supports Florida's 30-day breach notice needs engineers who design the data, test on real devices and stay accountable after launch. We build that in 5 to 10 weeks for $7k to $30k, with the code yours.
I started my app in Lovable. Can you take it over?
Bring it to the free call. We look at what the prototype does, where the code lives and whether it is worth building on or better used as a clickable spec for a clean build. Either way, the screens you made save time in scoping. You get a written quote, and the code ends up in a repository registered to your business.
Who are the top mobile app development companies in Florida?
Most results for that search are directory pages and top 10 posts written by agencies, often with the author at number one. Treat them as a list of names. Shortlist from client reviews on Clutch-style sites, then ask each firm for a written price, named clients, who writes the code and who owns it. We publish all of that, including our Miami Dolphins and Miami Open builds.
