Does monday.com Integrate With Airtable?

Quick answer

monday.com has no built-in Airtable sync. Its help center documents an embedded Airtable view, and the real data connection runs through a marketplace app, Zapier or Make recipes, or a sync tool such as Unito. Direction, limits and plan needs differ for each, and a decision table shows when to migrate instead.

Key takeaways

  • monday.com's help center documents one Airtable feature, the Embedded Airtable View and Widget, which displays a shared Airtable view on a board or dashboard and copies no data. We found no built-in Airtable recipe or two-way sync.
  • Data moves through a marketplace app (Airtable Sync), Zapier or Make, a sync tool such as Unito, or your own webhooks and API calls. Zapier's Airtable triggers poll, so a change made in Airtable reaches monday.com after 15 minutes on Free or 2 minutes on Professional.
  • Two-way sync is possible but easy to get wrong. Zapier's own help article names the Airtable New or Updated Record trigger plus an Update Record action as a loop that burns tasks, and two Zaps pointed at each other loop the same way.
  • Limits that stop syncs are Airtable's 5 requests per second per base (a 429 and a 30 second wait), monday.com's daily API calls (1,000 on Free, Basic and Standard, 10,000 on Pro, 25,000 on Enterprise) and monday.com's monthly integration actions (250 on Standard, 25,000 on Pro).
  • Stay connected when each tool has its own job. Migrate when people edit the same records in both, because a record with two owners drifts.

You search monday.com for an Airtable integration and find an embed that shows Airtable data but copies none of it. That matches the documentation: monday.com’s help center has one Airtable feature, the embedded view. A data connection runs through a marketplace app, an automation tool such as Zapier or Make, a sync tool such as Unito, or your own webhooks and API calls.

This page covers the live connection between the two tools: what exists, which direction each route works in, the limits that stop a sync, and when to stop syncing and move. The one-time move, with the CSV export and the linked-record rebuild, is on how to move from Airtable to monday.com and is not repeated here.

Does monday.com integrate with Airtable?

Yes, through five kinds of route, and monday.com documents only one of them itself, the embedded Airtable view. The others come from the marketplace, automation platforms, sync vendors or your own code. All facts below come from each vendor’s own page, opened October 21, 2026.

Route Direction Timing What the vendor’s page says about cost or access
Embedded Airtable View and Widget (monday.com) Display only, nothing is copied Shows the shared Airtable view Needs an Airtable shareable grid view link; no price in the article
Airtable Sync (monday.com marketplace app) Listing says it syncs Airtable data to monday.com; edits back not stated Not stated Developer, price and plan terms were not in the part of the listing we could read
Zapier Either direction, one Zap per direction Airtable triggers poll (15 minutes Free, 2 Professional, 1 Team); monday.com triggers in the templates are instant Free: 100 tasks a month, two-step Zaps. Professional from $19.99 a month, annual billing, 750 tasks
Make Either direction, one scenario per direction Airtable Watch records needs a Created Time or Last Modified Time field; some monday.com modules are instant through a webhook Free plan listed at 1,000 credits a month
Unito Two-way Integration page says real time; pricing page says 5 to 15 minute updates on Basic and Pro 14 day trial, no card; prices shown in the app
Outfunnel Airtable to monday.com, contacts only Initial sync, then continuous 14 day trial; each synced contact counts once
Getint One-way or bidirectional Not stated Pay per connection, per its page
Your own webhooks and API Either direction monday.com webhooks fire when a chosen event happens Developer time, plus the limits in the next sections
Verdict Zapier or Make for most teams. Unito if you want two-way without hand-built loop protection. The embed if you only need to look at Airtable data.

Outfunnel’s own support article is titled as a 2-way sync but states that the direction is Airtable to monday.com, one way, with Airtable available only as a source app. Read the article before you buy for a two-way job.

Is there a native monday.com Airtable integration?

Not for syncing records. monday.com’s help center search for “airtable” returns the Embedded Airtable View and Widget article and nothing that creates or updates items from Airtable records. monday.com’s own article on building an integration with Zapier says Zapier is “especially useful if monday.com doesn’t currently host a native integration with a platform that you use”. Airtable’s side agrees: its options for integrating with Airtable article lists Slack, email, Dropbox, Box, Gmail, Google Drive and Typeform as native integrations and Salesforce and Jira Server as sync sources. monday.com does not appear.

The embed is the fastest thing to set up and fits the case where sales only needs to see an Airtable table next to a deal board:

  1. In Airtable, open the grid view, create a shareable grid view link, then choose embed this view on your site.
  2. Copy the ID that sits after embed/ and before background in the embed code.
  3. In monday.com, click the plus icon at the top of the board, choose Apps, then Explore more apps, and add Embedded Airtable. On a dashboard, use Add widget, then More widgets, and search Airtable.
  4. Paste the ID into the Embedded View ID setting.

The embed reads from Airtable and writes nothing. Nothing in it can feed a monday.com automation, a formula or a dashboard chart, because no data lands in monday.com.

The marketplace listing for Airtable Sync describes “a powerful integration tool that automates the synchronization of your Airtable data to Monday.com”. That is the whole description on the page we could open, which is rendered by script. Treat direction, price and plan requirements as unknown until you open the listing and the vendor’s terms yourself.

How do you connect Airtable to monday.com with Zapier or Make?

You build one automation per direction, each with a trigger on one side and an action on the other. Zapier’s Airtable and monday.com page lists two Airtable triggers (New Record, and New or Updated Record) and twelve monday.com triggers, including New Item in Board and Any Column Value Changed in Board. Its actions include Create Record, Create or Update Record and Update Multiple Records on the Airtable side, and Create Item, Update Item, Create Subitem and Upload File to Specific Column on the monday.com side.

Three Zapier templates cover the usual cases:

Zap template Trigger Action Timing
Create items in Monday.com for new Airtable records Airtable: New Record (polling) monday.com: Create Item Checks every 15 minutes on Free
Create Airtable records for new items in Monday.com boards monday.com: New Item in Board (instant) Airtable: Create Record Instant
Update Airtable records when specific column values change in monday.com boards monday.com: Specific Columns Values Changed in Board (instant, needs Board ID and Column IDs) Airtable: Update Record Instant

Source, checked Oct 21, 2026: the three template pages on zapier.com and Zapier’s help center article How Zap triggers work for polling intervals.

Timing decides which edit wins. A monday.com change reaches Airtable at once, while an Airtable change reaches monday.com after the polling interval, so two people who edit the same record inside that window overwrite each other.

For a one-way Airtable to monday.com sync that handles edits as well as new rows, this is the design we would start from. It is our own arrangement of the documented actions, not a vendor template, and we have not run it against your data:

  1. Add two columns before you build anything: a text column in monday.com for the Airtable record ID, and a field in Airtable for the monday.com item ID.
  2. Trigger on Airtable New or Updated Record.
  3. Add a monday.com Find Items step that searches the record ID column.
  4. Branch on the result: Create Item when nothing is found, Update Item when an item exists.
  5. Write the new item ID back to Airtable only if that write cannot re-fire the trigger. Otherwise leave it out and keep the ID in monday.com.

Fields that are plain text, numbers, dates, status, dropdown, email, phone or link can be sent as text, according to monday.com’s Zapier JSON formatting article. A Connect Boards column needs JSON in the form {"item_ids":[1360856860]}, so a linked Airtable record has to be translated into a monday.com item ID with a Find Items step first. A base with many linked tables pays that cost on every link.

Make works the same way. Its monday.com modules include Watch Items, Watch Board’s Items and Watch Item’s Column Value, plus actions such as Create an Item and Update Column Values of a Specific Item. On the Airtable side, the Watch records trigger requires a Created Time or Last Modified Time field, and the Upload an attachment action only allows files up to 5 MB. Make documents instant monday.com triggers through a webhook: you add the module, choose Create a webhook, copy the address, then in monday.com open Automate, pick the Webhooks integration and paste it in.

Can Airtable and monday.com sync both ways?

Yes, with Unito, or with two Zaps or two Make scenarios pointed in opposite directions. Zapier’s help center is direct about the risk: a Zap loops when two Zaps trigger each other, and when a New or Updated trigger updates the same record that started it. It names Airtable New or Updated Record plus Airtable Update Record in the same table as an example, and says loops “can quickly use up your plan tasks”.

If a loop starts, turn off both Zaps, check Zap history, and review task usage. To prevent one, write a marker value into a field that the other Zap’s Filter step checks, so a record created by the sync is not synced back. Zapier’s help center walks through this with a #sf note example.

monday.com has a two-way sync option of its own, but its two-way sync article uses Jira Cloud and GitHub as examples and sets the direction in the template with a Both ways choice. We found no Airtable template that works that way.

Our opinion after reading the documentation: split ownership by field instead of syncing every field both ways. Let Airtable own the fields operations edits, let monday.com own status and owner, and sync each field in one direction only. A field with a single owner cannot conflict.

What limits and plan requirements apply?

Five sets of limits meet in an Airtable and monday.com sync: Airtable’s API, Airtable’s automations, monday.com’s API, monday.com’s integration actions, and the tool in the middle. The first table is Airtable plus the tool, the second is monday.com.

Limit Value Applies to
Airtable API requests 5 per second per base; 50 per second for all personal access token traffic from one user Every plan; Airtable says it may tier limits by plan later
Airtable response above the limit 429, then a 30 second wait before requests succeed Every plan
Airtable webhook trigger POST only, 100 kb payload, 5 requests per second; each start counts as an automation run All plans with varying limits
Airtable automation runs a month, per workspace Free 100, Team 25,000, Business 100,000, Enterprise Scale 500,000; failed runs count; resets on the first of the month By plan
Airtable Run a script action 50 fetch requests and 30 selectRecords queries per script; fetch times out at 30 seconds; 15 mutations a second, 50 records each By plan
Zapier tasks One task per successful action step; searches set to proceed if nothing found use 1 task; Free 100 a month By plan
Zapier batch actions Create Records (Advanced) and Update Multiple Records handle up to 10 records Every plan
Limit Value Applies to
monday.com integrations and automations Standard plan and up; 250 actions a month each for automations and integrations on Standard, 25,000 on Pro, 250,000 on Enterprise By plan
monday.com daily API calls 1,000 on Free, Basic and Standard; 10,000 on Pro; 25,000 on Enterprise; resets at midnight UTC Calls through personal tokens, private apps and public apps; marketplace apps are excluded
monday.com queries per minute 1,000 on other plans, 2,500 on Pro, 5,000 on Enterprise By plan
monday.com concurrent requests 40 on other plans, 100 on Pro, 250 on Enterprise By plan
monday.com complexity 5,000,000 points for a single query; 10,000,000 points a minute for a personal token (1,000,000 on trial, NGO and free accounts) All plans

Source, checked Oct 21, 2026: Airtable rate limits, the Airtable support articles on the webhook trigger, Run a script and getting started with automations, monday.com API rate limits, monday.com’s automations and integrations pricing and actions articles, and Zapier’s help center on task usage.

Three consequences follow from these numbers, and the arithmetic is ours:

  • A Zap that finds the monday.com item and then creates or updates it uses 2 tasks per Airtable record. The Free plan’s 100 tasks cover 50 records a month. A Professional plan with 750 tasks covers 375.
  • monday.com’s article describes pasting a personal API token into Zapier, and calls through personal tokens count toward the daily limit. A sync that makes one call per item and touches 1,500 items a day passes the 1,000-call cap on Free, Basic and Standard.
  • Re-reading a 10,000-record Airtable table at one request per record takes at least 2,000 seconds, about 33 minutes, at 5 requests per second on one base. See Airtable pricing and limits and the API rate limit comparison for the same ceilings next to other CRMs, and how many API calls monday.com allows per day for the daily cap on its own.

Plan requirements are less clear than the limits. monday.com says automations and integrations are available on the Standard plan and up, and our monday CRM plan limits page shows the CRM tiers. Its API page calls the API a free feature across all plans, and Zapier and Make connect through the API. The pages we read do not say whether monday.com blocks a Zapier or Make connection on a lower plan, and do not say whether those calls use integration actions, so test on your plan before you promise a client a sync.

What do the common errors mean?

Most failures in an Airtable and monday.com sync are limit errors or loops. This table lists only errors and behaviors the vendors document.

What you see Cause Fix
Airtable returns 429 More than 5 requests per second on one base, or more than 50 per second for one user’s tokens Wait 30 seconds before requests succeed, then slow the sync; use batch actions that handle 10 records
monday.com DAILY_LIMIT_EXCEEDED The daily call cap for your plan is used up Wait for the reset at midnight UTC, or have an admin buy the API calls add-on, where each unit adds 25,000 daily calls
monday.com “Minute limit rate exceeded” Per-minute query cap reached Retry after the retry_in_seconds value in the error, or the Retry-After header
monday.com “Concurrency limit exceeded” Too many simultaneous requests (40 on other plans) Run the sync serially instead of in parallel
monday.com COMPLEXITY_BUDGET_EXHAUSTED The per-minute complexity budget is used up Wait the retry time returned, then send smaller queries
A Zap or scenario runs over and over and tasks disappear A sync loop: two flows feed each other, or an update re-fires its own trigger Turn off both flows, then add a marker value and a Filter step
monday.com monthly action limit reached All integration actions for the month are used Standard accounts get an email the first time they reach 250; the second time brings a 72 hour grace period before runs pause. Only Enterprise can buy extra actions, so otherwise wait for the reset or upgrade

Source, checked Oct 21, 2026: Airtable rate limits page, monday.com API rate limits page, Zapier’s “Zap is stuck in a loop” article, monday.com’s automation and integration actions and limits article, and monday.com’s Does monday.com have an API article.

How do you connect them with webhooks and no third-party tool?

You send events from each side to the other with webhooks and API calls, which suits teams with a developer and high volume. monday.com’s Webhook integration sends a JSON payload to a URL you choose when an event happens, such as a new item or a column value change. To verify the URL, monday.com sends a JSON body with a challenge field and expects the same body back.

On the Airtable side, the When webhook received automation trigger creates a unique URL. It accepts POST requests only, with the 100 kb and 5 requests per second limits above, and Airtable says it does not support signature verification, so anyone with the URL can start the automation. Airtable’s page does not say whether this URL can answer monday.com’s challenge, so test that first. A small receiver or a Make webhook in between is the safer plan.

In the other direction, Airtable states there is no native action that sends an HTTP request to any URL you choose. Use the Run a script action with fetch() to call monday.com’s GraphQL API at api.monday.com/v2 with your token in the Authorization header, within the script limits in the table. The monday CRM API integration guide covers the monday.com side of that build, and our CRM integrations guide compares this route with no-code tools.

Should you stay connected or move to monday.com?

Stay connected when each tool owns different records, and move when both tools hold the same ones. The table sorts the common situations.

Situation Better choice Why
Airtable holds operations data, monday.com holds the sales pipeline, and sales needs a few Airtable fields Stay connected, one way from Airtable Each record has one owner, so no conflicts
Sales only needs to look at an Airtable table next to a deal board Embedded view No tasks, no actions, no API calls
The same deal or contact is edited in both tools by different people Migrate Polling delay plus two owners means one version is always wrong
Sales relies on many linked Airtable tables Migrate Every link needs a monday.com item ID and a lookup step, so sync cost grows with each link
The team is leaving Airtable within weeks Short bridge sync with an end date, then migrate The sync only covers the overlap
The sync would pass the daily API calls or monthly actions of your monday.com plan Fix volume or plan first, or migrate A limit makes runs fail or pause
Verdict Connect for separate jobs, migrate for shared records.

Source, checked Oct 21, 2026: the limits and vendor pages cited above; the situations and choices are our judgment.

If the answer is migrate, start with how to move from Airtable to monday.com, then compare the tools in monday.com vs Airtable. The overlap period usually involves one-way flows from the old tool, similar to the pattern on how to connect Pipedrive to monday.com. What to build on the monday.com side once records arrive is in the monday CRM automation recipes, and how often Airtable syncs covers Airtable’s own sync features. The full picture is in the monday CRM guide.

When is it worth getting help?

It pays when records link across several Airtable tables, when two-way sync is a hard requirement, or when volume sits near your plan’s API or action limits. We design these connections as part of our monday.com implementation service, and you can book a free call to have us review your base and your plan limits.

FAQs

Does monday.com integrate with Airtable?

Yes, but not with a built-in sync. monday.com's help center documents an Embedded Airtable View that displays a shared Airtable view on a board. To copy or sync records you use the Airtable Sync app in the monday.com marketplace, Zapier or Make, a tool such as Unito, or your own webhooks and API calls.

Is there a native Airtable integration in monday.com?

Only the embed. monday.com's help center search for Airtable returns the Embedded Airtable View and Widget article, which shows an Airtable view inside a board or dashboard and moves no records. We found no native recipe that creates or updates items from Airtable records.

How do I connect Airtable to monday.com?

For display only, add the Embedded Airtable view to a board with an Airtable shareable view ID. To move records, build a Zap or Make scenario with an Airtable trigger and a monday.com Create Item or Update Item action, or use a sync tool. Create one flow per direction.

Can Airtable and monday.com sync both ways?

Yes, with Unito, which describes two-way sync, or with one Zap or Make scenario per direction. Zapier warns that an Airtable New or Updated Record trigger that updates the same record loops, and two Zaps that trigger each other loop too. Add a unique marker value and a Filter step.

Is there an Airtable app in the monday.com marketplace?

Yes. The marketplace lists Airtable Sync, described as a tool that automates the synchronization of Airtable data to monday.com. The part of the listing we could read does not state the developer, the price, the plan needed or whether edits flow back, so check those before installing.

How often does Airtable data reach monday.com?

With Zapier it depends on the plan, because Airtable triggers are polling triggers. Zapier's help center lists 15 minutes on Free, 2 minutes on Professional and 1 minute on Team and Enterprise. monday.com triggers in Zapier's templates are instant, so the delay applies to Airtable changes.

Does the Airtable monday.com integration cost money?

The embed has no price in monday.com's article. Zapier's Free plan allows 100 tasks a month with two-step Zaps, and Professional starts at $19.99 a month on annual billing for 750 tasks. Unito offers a 14 day trial and shows prices in its app. monday.com integrations need the Standard plan or higher.

Can monday.com show Airtable data without copying it?

Yes. Create a shareable grid view link in Airtable, choose embed this view on your site, copy the ID after embed/ up to background, and paste it into the Embedded View ID setting. The Embedded Airtable view works as a board view and as a dashboard widget.

What limits apply when syncing Airtable and monday.com?

Airtable allows 5 requests per second per base and answers 429 above that, with a 30 second wait. monday.com caps daily API calls at 1,000, 10,000 or 25,000 by plan, plus per-minute and concurrency limits. Zapier counts one task per successful action step, and monday.com integration actions are capped monthly.

Should I sync Airtable with monday.com or migrate?

Sync when each tool owns different records, such as Airtable for operations data and monday.com for the sales pipeline. Migrate when people edit the same records in both, or when sales depends on many linked Airtable tables. A short bridge sync with an end date suits a switchover period.
