Does GoHighLevel Integrate With monday.com?
Quick answer
Yes, in one direction natively. Since February 2026 HighLevel Workflows have Monday.com actions (Create New Item, Update Item, Find Items by Column Value). The Monday.com triggers were still listed as coming soon. For monday.com to HighLevel, or for tools you already pay for, use Zapier, Make, n8n or webhooks.
Part of the guide: GoHighLevel automation
Key takeaways
- HighLevel added native Monday.com actions to Workflows in February 2026: Create New Item, Update Item, Find Items by Column Value and others. Its help article, modified February 20, 2026, lists the Monday.com triggers as coming soon, and we found no later entry saying they shipped.
- Native Monday.com steps count as premium workflow features. HighLevel's help center, read October 17, 2026, lists $0.01 per premium execution after 100 free lifetime executions per sub-account.
- Zapier lists HighLevel as LeadConnector, with one trigger (Pipeline Stage Changed) and actions such as Add/Update Contact. Its monday.com app has triggers such as New Item in Board and Any Column Value Changed in Board, so Zapier covers both directions.
- The limits that bite are monday's, not HighLevel's: the daily call limit is 1,000 on Free, Basic and Standard, 10,000 on Pro and 25,000 on Enterprise, against 200,000 a day per app per location on HighLevel.
- monday phone columns need a number plus an uppercase two-letter country code, and email columns need both an address and display text. Most failed item creations from HighLevel come from these two columns.
Yes, but mostly in one direction. Since February 2026, HighLevel Workflows have native Monday.com actions, so a workflow can create, update and look up monday.com items without Zapier. The Monday.com triggers, which would let monday.com events start a HighLevel workflow, were still listed as coming soon in HighLevel’s help article. For the monday.com to HighLevel direction you still need Zapier, Make, n8n or a webhook, and those same tools work for HighLevel to monday.com if you would rather not pay for premium workflow steps.
Checked on October 17, 2026. We opened HighLevel’s help articles and changelog, monday.com’s developer documentation, and the Zapier, Make and n8n integration pages for this pair. Where we could not confirm something, the page says so.
Does GoHighLevel have a native monday.com integration?
Yes, as workflow steps rather than a marketplace app. HighLevel’s changelog entry “Monday.com actions and triggers” was published February 6, 2026, and the help article “HighLevel + Monday.com: Actions & Triggers” was last modified February 20, 2026. Here is what each says.
| Piece | Status in HighLevel’s help article | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Actions (HighLevel to monday.com) | “Available Now” | Create New Board, Group, Column, Item or Subitem. Update Item and Update Subitem. Archive Board and Group. Delete Item and Group. Get Board Items. Find Items by Column Value. Find Items by ID |
| Triggers (monday.com to HighLevel) | “Coming Soon” | Any Column Value Changed in Board, Any Item Moved to a Group, New Board, New Item in a Board, New Subitem in Board, New Update in Board, New User |
| Connection | Needs your monday.com API key | Click Connect Now inside any Monday.com step, or go to Settings > Integrations > Monday.com |
| Billing | Premium workflow feature | Monday.com steps count toward premium workflow features, which agencies can enable and rebill |
We found no later changelog entry saying the triggers shipped. Open the trigger picker in your own account before you design anything around them. HighLevel’s article also says a two-way sync is possible with two workflows, one per direction, passing IDs between them to avoid conflicts. One oddity: the article’s “Connecting Your Account” section still names ClickUp in its steps, a copy-and-paste slip, so rely on the Settings path above and the Connect Now button inside the step.
Is there a monday.com or HighLevel marketplace app for this?
Not one we could confirm. We searched monday.com’s apps marketplace for “highlevel” and “leadconnector” on October 17, 2026. The page returned no listings in its text, but it builds its results in the browser, so treat that as inconclusive rather than proof. We also could not open a HighLevel App Marketplace listing for monday.com. The confirmed native route is the Workflow actions above, not a marketplace install.
What does the native integration cost?
HighLevel’s premium workflow article says a premium execution is $0.01 at the standard rate, and each eligible sub-account gets 100 free lifetime premium executions that do not reset monthly. The Workflow Pro plans it lists are Starter at $10 a month for 10,000 executions, Growth at $25 for 30,000 and Scale at $50 for 65,000, with overage rates of $0.008, $0.006 and $0.004. Standard workflow actions do not count. A won-deal flow that runs Find Items and then Create New Item uses two premium executions per deal, so 500 won deals a month is 1,000 executions: inside the Starter allowance, or $10 at the standard rate beyond the free 100 (our arithmetic).
How do you connect GoHighLevel to monday.com? The methods ranked
Pick by direction first, then by what you already pay for. For HighLevel to monday.com we rank them in this order:
- HighLevel native Monday.com actions. One tool, no task meter, and the Test Action button shows the live response.
- Zapier. The fastest to build if you already have a plan, and it covers both directions.
- Make. The same pairing with more control over branching and mapping.
- n8n. Best when you want to self-host or need code in the middle.
- HighLevel Custom Webhook to monday’s GraphQL API. Full control, most to maintain.
For monday.com to HighLevel, the native triggers are the preferred route once they are live. Until then, use Zapier, Make or n8n, or a monday webhook pointed at HighLevel’s Inbound Webhook trigger (with a caveat below).
| Method | Direction | What triggers it | Cost driver | Rate limits to watch | Who should pick it |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| HighLevel native Monday.com actions | HighLevel to monday.com | Any HighLevel workflow trigger, for example Opportunity Status Changed | Premium workflow executions: $0.01 each after 100 free lifetime, or Workflow Pro | monday daily call limit by plan | Agencies that live in HighLevel and send deals one way |
| Zapier (LeadConnector + monday.com apps) | Both | HighLevel: Pipeline Stage Changed. monday.com: New Item in Board, Any Column Value Changed in Board, and more | Zapier tasks. Free is 100 tasks a month with two-step Zaps only | monday daily call limit by plan | Teams already on Zapier, or needing monday.com to HighLevel today |
| Make (GoHighLevel + monday.com apps) | Both | HighLevel: Watch Contact Updated, Watch Events. monday.com triggers also exist | Make operations (pricing not checked for this page) | monday daily call limit by plan | Builders who want routers, filters and iterators |
| n8n (HighLevel + Monday.com nodes) | Both | HighLevel actions listed: contacts and opportunities. Use webhooks or schedules to start flows | Self-host free of per-task fees, or n8n Cloud (pricing not checked) | monday daily call limit by plan | Technical teams that want control over data and hosting |
| HighLevel Custom Webhook to monday GraphQL | HighLevel to monday.com | Any HighLevel workflow trigger | Premium workflow executions | monday daily call limit; minute limit 1,000 to 5,000 by plan | Developers who need a mutation the native steps do not cover |
| monday webhook to HighLevel Inbound Webhook | monday.com to HighLevel | A board event such as create_item or change_status_column_value | Premium workflow executions on the HighLevel side | monday retries once a minute for 30 minutes | Only after testing the challenge handshake (see below) |
Sources: HighLevel help center, Zapier, Make and n8n integration pages, and monday.com developer docs, all read October 17, 2026. For Zapier plan prices see our Zapier pricing and task limits page, checked October 14, 2026.
What do Zapier, Make and n8n actually offer for this pair?
- Zapier. HighLevel appears as LeadConnector. Its trigger is Pipeline Stage Changed. Its actions include Add/Update Contact, Add/Update Opportunity, Add Lead to Workflow, Stop All Workflows for Lead and Add Task. The monday.com app has triggers such as New Item in Board, Any Column Value Changed in Board and Specific Column Value Changed in Board, and actions such as Create Item, Update Item and Find Items. Neither app is marked Premium on the page. Zapier also suggests the template “Create monday.com items when LeadConnector pipeline stages change”.
- Make. The GoHighLevel and monday.com page lists 80 items: 17 triggers, 45 actions and 18 searches. HighLevel triggers shown include Watch Contact Updated and Watch Events. Watch Opportunities is marked Deprecated, so avoid it. monday.com actions include Create an Item, Update Column Values of a Specific Item and Execute a GraphQL Query, which is useful when a column type needs a raw mutation.
- n8n. The HighLevel node lists contact and opportunity actions (create, update, create or update). The Monday.com node lists board item actions such as Create, Change multiple column values for a board item and Get items by column value. The HTTP Request node can call either API for anything missing.
HighLevel’s own webhook article adds one cost detail for Zapier: to catch HighLevel data with Webhooks by Zapier (Catch Hook), you must be on a paid Zapier account.
How do you create a monday.com item when an opportunity is marked Won?
This is the most common job, and the native route takes about ten minutes. The steps below use HighLevel’s exact trigger and action names.
- In HighLevel, go to Automation > Workflows and create a new workflow. Name it something like “Won deal to monday delivery board”.
- Click Add New Trigger and choose Opportunity Status Changed. Set Moved To Status to Won. Set In Pipeline to your sales pipeline so other pipelines do not fire it.
- Click the + icon to add a step, search for Monday.com, and choose Find Items by Column Value. Search your delivery board for the contact’s email. This is your duplicate guard. If the step is not connected yet, click Connect Now and paste your monday.com API key.
- Add an If/Else step. If an item was found, stop or run Update Item. If not, continue.
- Add the Monday.com > Create New Item action. Choose the Workspace, Board and Group (for example, a group called “New clients”).
- Map the fields using the table below, then click Test Action. HighLevel validates the connection and saves the response, including the new Item ID.
- Add an action that writes the returned Item ID back to a contact custom field. You will need it for any later Update Item.
- Save, then Publish. Move a test opportunity to Won and confirm the item appears on the right board and group.
The Zapier version. Trigger: LeadConnector Pipeline Stage Changed, with your Won stage selected. Actions: monday.com Find Items, then Create Item. Zapier counts each successful action as a task, so this is two tasks per won deal. Filters and the trigger are free (Zapier task rules).
The Custom Webhook version. If a mutation is missing from the native steps, add Send Data > Custom Webhook from the + Add action menu, set the Event to CUSTOM, the method to POST, the Content-Type to application/json, and put your monday.com token in an Authorization header. Post to https://api.monday.com/v2 with a body like this (our example, built from monday’s create_item docs; replace the board ID and group ID):
{"query":"mutation { create_item(board_id: 1234567890, group_id: \"new_clients\", item_name: \"{{contact.name}}\") { id } }"}
Keep the first version to the item name only. Add column values after that works, because column_values is itself a JSON string, and its quotes must be escaped inside the body.
What fields should you map from GoHighLevel to monday.com?
| GoHighLevel value | monday.com column type | Format monday.com expects |
|---|---|---|
{{contact.name}} |
Item name | Plain text. A double quote in a name can break a hand-built webhook body |
{{contact.email}} |
Address plus display text. Both are required: {"email": {"email": "a@b.com", "text": "A B"}} |
|
{{contact.phone}} |
Phone | Number plus uppercase two-letter country code: {"phone": "+12025550169", "countryShortName": "US"} |
| Opportunity stage or source | Status | An existing label. Passing an unknown label fails unless the board allows creating labels |
| Close date | Date | YYYY-MM-DD |
| Owner | People | The person’s name exactly as it appears in monday.com |
| Lead value | Numbers | A plain number, no currency symbol |
Sources: monday.com developer docs for the phone, email and create_item mutations, and the CSV import guide for People and Date conventions (see our import guide), read October 17, 2026. For the opportunity variables, use HighLevel’s variable picker in the step, since we did not verify opportunity variable names.
What is the usual way to split work between GoHighLevel and monday.com?
Use GoHighLevel for everything before the deal is won, and monday.com for everything after. That is the pattern our GoHighLevel vs monday.com comparison describes: HighLevel for lead capture, SMS, calendars and pipelines, monday.com for delivery, capacity and cross-team dashboards. The handoff is the only place the two meet, so it is the only sync you need to build well.
Two rules keep it clean. Pick one system as the owner of each fact: HighLevel owns contact details and consent, monday.com owns project status. And send one event, Won, rather than syncing every field change. The pattern fails when both tools edit the same contact and nobody trusts either record. Our Pipedrive to monday.com guide makes the same point for another CRM.
What goes wrong when you sync GoHighLevel and monday.com?
| Symptom | Cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| The same client appears twice on the monday.com board | The workflow re-ran, for example an opportunity moved to Won, back to Open, then Won again, or two workflows fire on the same event | Add Find Items by Column Value before Create New Item and branch on the result. Store the Item ID on the contact. See duplicate messages from workflows for the HighLevel side |
| Phone or email columns come through empty, or the call errors | The value is not in the shape monday.com expects. Phone columns use libphonenumber validation and need an uppercase country code. Email columns need address and text | Send phone as + and digits with a two-letter country code. Build the email object with both keys. Verify a number at monday’s suggested libphonenumber tool |
DAILY_LIMIT_EXCEEDED from monday.com |
Daily call limit reached: 1,000 on Free, Basic and Standard, 10,000 on Pro, 25,000 on Enterprise, resetting at midnight UTC | Cut calls per deal, batch where you can, or request an increase from monday’s API analytics dashboard. Marketplace apps are excluded from the daily limit |
ComplexityException or Minute limit rate exceeded |
Too many heavy or too many frequent calls | Wait for the retry_in_seconds value in the error. Failed calls still count, at 0.1 of a call for rate-limit errors, so do not retry blindly |
| Steps stop working overnight | The monday.com API token was regenerated, which invalidates the old one immediately | Paste the new token into HighLevel under Settings > Integrations > Monday.com, or into your Zapier, Make or n8n connection |
| Items bounce between tools forever | A two-way sync where each side’s update triggers the other | Use two separate workflows, as HighLevel advises, and guard each with a check: only act when a field actually differs, or when a tag or custom field says the change came from the other tool |
| monday.com webhook never reaches HighLevel | monday.com sends a challenge JSON and expects it echoed back, and HighLevel’s Inbound Webhook article does not document echoing it |
Treat this route as untested. Point the monday webhook at Zapier, Make or n8n instead, and let that tool call HighLevel |
HighLevel’s Custom Webhook article adds two behaviours worth knowing. The action fires the moment a contact reaches the step, so a bulk enrollment of 5,000 contacts sends 5,000 calls at once. When the receiving API returns an error, the action fails and is skipped or retried with exponential back-off. Add a Wait step and enroll in batches if you are loading old deals. The numbers in our CRM API rate limits comparison show why: HighLevel allows 100 requests per 10 seconds per app per location, but monday.com on a 1,000-call daily plan runs out first.
To confirm a fix, run one test opportunity end to end and check three things: the item exists once, the phone and email columns are populated, and the Item ID is saved back on the contact. Then check HighLevel’s execution log for the workflow run.
How do monday webhooks work if you want monday.com to start the flow?
You add a Webhooks integration on the board (Integrations on the board, then the Webhooks recipe), or create one with the create_webhook mutation. monday.com sends a JSON POST with a challenge field to the URL you give and expects the same token back, and the URL is limited to 255 characters. Events include create_item, change_status_column_value, change_specific_column_value and item_moved_to_any_group. Deliveries retry once a minute for 30 minutes. HighLevel’s Inbound Webhook accepts POST, GET or PUT with a JSON body, requires an email or phone in the payload, and is a premium trigger. Because the challenge handshake is not documented on HighLevel’s side, route monday events through an automation tool for now. Our monday CRM API guide covers tokens and the other endpoints.
When should you hire help with a GoHighLevel and monday.com integration?
Bring someone in when the sync has to carry more than one event, such as custom objects, multiple pipelines or sub-accounts, when you are loading historic deals in bulk against a daily call limit, or when the handoff touches billing or consent. A single Won-to-board flow is a day of work for someone who knows both tools. Our GoHighLevel service and monday.com service pages describe the two sides, and aibrevo works across both platforms. You can book a strategy call with the scope of your handoff.
For the broader decision on which tool should lead, see GoHighLevel vs monday.com, and for other connectors see GoHighLevel + Zapier vs native integrations and the GoHighLevel API integration guide.
