How Do You Connect Pipedrive to monday.com?
Quick answer
Install Pipedrive's free monday.com app from the Pipedrive Marketplace to send new deals, people, organizations and activities to monday.com boards. It syncs one way and only on creation, so use Zapier or Make if edits must flow both ways.
Key takeaways
- Pipedrive publishes a free monday.com app on its Marketplace. It creates monday.com items when deals, people, organizations or activities are added in Pipedrive.
- The native app is one way (Pipedrive to monday.com) and fires on creation only. Later edits in Pipedrive do not update the monday.com item.
- For two-way or update-based syncing, Zapier and Make both have Pipedrive and monday.com triggers for updated deals and changed columns.
- Connecting the tools is different from moving off Pipedrive. A full move to monday CRM is an export and import project, not an integration.
You connect Pipedrive to monday.com by installing the free monday.com app from the Pipedrive Marketplace. It creates a monday.com item whenever a deal, person, organization or activity is added in Pipedrive. It only sends data one way and only at creation, so if your team needs updates or two-way sync, Zapier or Make is the better tool.
The most common reason teams connect the two is a handoff. Sales works deals in Pipedrive, and when a deal is won, the delivery or onboarding team picks it up on a monday.com board. The native app handles that pattern well. It does not handle keeping two live pipelines in step.
What does the native Pipedrive app send to monday.com?
According to Pipedrive’s help article (updated September 3, 2026), the app sends four record types, each to a board you choose:
| Pipedrive record | Fields sent to monday.com |
|---|---|
| Deals | Organization, contact person, stage, status, value, owner |
| People | Organization, name, email, phone, owner |
| Organizations | Name, owner |
| Activities | Type, subject, duration, due date, deal, person, organization, owner |
The app is free and listed on the Pipedrive Marketplace, where it had a 3.5 out of 5 rating from 64 reviews when we checked on October 1, 2026.
What the native app does not do
Two limits shape every setup decision:
- One way only. Data goes from Pipedrive to monday.com. Nothing done in monday.com comes back to Pipedrive.
- Creation only. The item is made when the Pipedrive record is created. If the deal moves from Proposal to Won next week, the monday.com item still shows Proposal.
The second limit catches people out. A board that looked right on day one quietly goes stale. If your monday.com board needs to know when a deal is won, the native app alone will not tell it.
When to use Zapier or Make instead
Zapier has Pipedrive triggers for new and updated deals, updated deal stage, new person, new organization, new lead and new activity, and monday.com actions to create or update items and subitems. It also works the other way: a monday.com column change can update a Pipedrive deal. Make offers the same pairing with more control over branching and data mapping.
| Need | Best fit |
|---|---|
| New won deals become onboarding items | Native app, or one Zap on “updated deal stage = won” |
| Deal value and stage stay current on a monday.com board | Zapier or Make, on updated deal |
| Delivery status shows back in Pipedrive | Zapier or Make, monday.com to Pipedrive |
| Thousands of records a day, custom rules | Make or a custom API build |
For the won-deal handoff, a single Zap on “updated deal stage” filtered to Won is often a better choice than the native app. It creates the onboarding item at the moment that matters instead of when the deal was first logged, so the delivery board only holds real work. The monday.com automation recipes guide shows what to build on the monday.com side once the item arrives.
Keep an eye on volume. Every synced update is a Zapier task or Make operation, and both are billed per run. A busy pipeline with a sync on every deal update can use thousands of tasks a month.
How to set up the native app
- In Pipedrive, open the Marketplace and install the monday.com app. You need admin rights in both tools.
- Authorize your monday.com account.
- For each record type you want, pick the target monday.com board and map Pipedrive fields to board columns. Create the columns in monday.com first so they appear in the mapping.
- Create a test deal in Pipedrive and confirm the item appears with the right values.
Map stage and status to monday.com Status columns rather than text, so automations and dashboards on the monday.com side can react to them.
Is connecting the tools the same as moving to monday CRM?
No. If the plan is to leave Pipedrive and run sales in monday CRM, an integration is the wrong tool. You need a migration: export deals, people, organizations and activities from Pipedrive, import them into monday CRM’s deals, contacts and accounts boards, rebuild the links between them, and recreate your pipeline stages and automations. Our CRM migration guide covers the order of work. The monday.com vs Pipedrive comparison helps if the decision is not made yet.
