Does GoHighLevel Integrate With Shopify? What Syncs, the Plan Catch, and Abandoned Carts

Quick answer

Yes. GoHighLevel has a native Shopify integration in each sub-account under Settings > Integrations. It syncs one way, Shopify into HighLevel: contacts, orders, transactions, products and collections, with an Abandoned Checkout workflow trigger. On Shopify's Basic plan, contacts, orders and transactions may not sync because of Shopify's API access rules; Grow, Advanced and Plus are needed for full data.

Key takeaways

  • Connect Shopify in the sub-account under Settings > Integrations > Shopify, using the store URL and Shopify's OAuth sign-in (HighLevel article updated September 30, 2026).
  • Sync is one way: Shopify into HighLevel. Contacts, orders, transactions, products and collections import, with a one-time import of existing records on first connect.
  • On Shopify Basic, Shopify's newer API may not expose customer personal data, so only products and collections import. Contacts, orders and transactions need Grow, Advanced or Plus.
  • Only Shopify customers who have placed an order import as contacts.
  • Use the Ecommerce Stores > Abandoned Checkout trigger for cart recovery. The legacy Shopify Abandoned Cart trigger is marked as deprecating.

Yes. GoHighLevel has a native Shopify integration, connected per sub-account under Settings > Integrations > Shopify. It syncs one way, from Shopify into HighLevel: contacts, orders, transactions, products and collections, starting with a one-time import of existing records. The catch is Shopify’s plan: on Shopify Basic, Shopify’s newer API may not expose customer personal data, so only products and collections come across.

What does the Shopify integration sync?

What syncs from Shopify into GoHighLevel, by Shopify plan Shopify sends data one way into GoHighLevel. On every Shopify plan, products and collections sync. On Grow, Advanced and Plus, contacts, orders and transactions also sync. In GoHighLevel the data feeds contacts with lifetime value, order history and abandoned checkout workflows. Sync runs in one direction. Customer-level data depends on the Shopify plan. Sources: HighLevel's Shopify integration and migration articles, checked October 8, 2026.
What syncs Details from HighLevel’s documentation
Contacts Only customers who have placed an order; all Shopify contact fields sync, with no field-level opt-out
Orders and transactions Refunded or cancelled orders lower lifetime value but not the order count; draft orders don’t change contact fields
Lifetime value Counts Shopify purchases only
Products and collections Taxes aren’t mapped to products; SEO fields may come through empty
Existing records One-time import on first connection; imported data stays if you later turn that sync off

Why aren’t Shopify contacts or orders syncing?

Work down this list:

Symptom Likely cause Fix
Products sync, customers don’t Shopify Basic plan’s API access Upgrade to Shopify Grow, Advanced or Plus, then reconnect
Some customers missing They have never placed an order Expected; capture them with a form or pop-up instead
Sync stopped for an older store Old custom-app connection Reconnect through Settings > Integrations using OAuth
Contact sync stopped after a Shopify API change Known issue HighLevel lists for Shopify’s API deprecation, mostly on Basic Check your plan, reconnect, then contact HighLevel support
Abandoned checkout workflow never fires No email captured at checkout, or the legacy trigger Require email early in checkout; use the Abandoned Checkout trigger

HighLevel lists the plan restriction and the API deprecation issue in its Shopify migration article. For workflows that still don’t fire, our workflow troubleshooting guide walks the checks in order.

How do you set up abandoned cart recovery?

HighLevel’s Abandoned Checkout trigger article covers both native HighLevel stores and Shopify:

  1. Create a workflow with the trigger Ecommerce Stores > Abandoned Checkout.
  2. Set Order Source to External and Sub-Source to Shopify.
  3. Set the abandonment delay in minutes. HighLevel suggests 15 to 30 minutes for low-ticket stores; use longer for considered purchases.
  4. Add filters if needed: cart value, country, products or source.
  5. Send the first reminder by email, add a text only for contacts with SMS consent, and end the sequence when an order comes in.

The trigger needs the shopper’s email, so a checkout that collects email on the first step recovers more carts. The older Shopify Abandoned Cart trigger is labeled “Deprecating Soon”, so build new workflows on Abandoned Checkout and move old ones over. Texting shoppers needs consent and A2P registration; see the A2P guide.

When do you need Zapier instead?

The native integration covers contacts, orders and abandoned checkouts. For anything outside that, such as creating a pipeline opportunity when a high-value order is paid or fulfilled, Zapier’s LeadConnector app has Shopify templates. Our Zapier vs native integrations guide explains the trade-offs. Payments taken in HighLevel’s own store run through a gateway such as Stripe; see does GoHighLevel work with Stripe.

FAQs

Does GoHighLevel integrate with Shopify?

Yes. GoHighLevel has a native Shopify integration. Connect it in each sub-account under Settings, then Integrations, then Shopify, and sign in through Shopify. It imports contacts, orders, transactions, products and collections from Shopify into HighLevel, and Shopify orders can trigger workflows such as abandoned checkout recovery.

How do I connect Shopify to GoHighLevel?

In the sub-account, go to Settings, then Integrations, choose Shopify, enter your store URL or name and approve the connection in Shopify. Choose which data types to sync. Older connections made with a Shopify custom app may need to be reconnected through the newer OAuth flow.

Is the Shopify and GoHighLevel sync two-way?

No. HighLevel's Shopify article says data syncs one way, from Shopify into HighLevel, and Shopify stays the source of truth. Changes you make to a contact in HighLevel don't write back to the Shopify customer.

Why aren't my Shopify contacts syncing to GoHighLevel?

The most common cause is the Shopify plan. HighLevel's migration article says Shopify Basic may not give access to customer personal data through the newer API, so contacts, orders and transactions need Shopify Grow, Advanced or Plus. Also, only customers who have placed at least one order import as contacts.

Can GoHighLevel recover Shopify abandoned carts?

Yes. Use the Ecommerce Stores, Abandoned Checkout workflow trigger with the order source set to External and the sub-source Shopify. It needs the shopper's email, and you set the abandonment delay in minutes; HighLevel suggests 15 to 30 minutes for low-ticket stores. The older Shopify Abandoned Cart trigger is marked as deprecating.

Can I import past Shopify orders into GoHighLevel?

Yes. When you first connect, HighLevel runs a one-time import of existing records for the data types you enable, subject to your Shopify plan's API access. Records already imported stay in HighLevel even if you later switch that sync off.

Can I move my Shopify store into GoHighLevel?

Partly. HighLevel can import Shopify products and collections into its own store, which is how it supports store migration. Taxes aren't mapped to products and SEO fields may come through empty, so review every product after import. Themes, apps and checkout settings don't move.

Do I need Zapier to connect Shopify and GoHighLevel?

Not for the standard sync, which is native. Zapier's LeadConnector app has Shopify templates for custom cases, such as creating an opportunity when an order is paid or fulfilled, if the native triggers don't cover your process.
