Does monday.com Integrate With Salesforce?
Quick answer
Yes. monday.com has a paid Salesforce integration, listed on monday's Enterprise plan, that needs a Salesforce Enterprise or Unlimited edition, a package installed by a Salesforce admin and a sync every 3 minutes. monday's April 2026 notice says existing connections had to move to a new package, recommended by July 31, 2026.

Key takeaways
- monday.com does integrate with Salesforce. Its help pages call it a paid integration sold as an add-on, show it as available on the Enterprise plan, and require a Salesforce Enterprise or Unlimited edition because Salesforce does not support integrations on Essentials or Professional.
- A Salesforce admin must install monday's package first. After that, any Salesforce user with the API Enabled permission can create the integration from a board's Integrate menu.
- The newer Salesforce 2-way sync app syncs every 3 minutes by polling. It does not map subitems, has no import function, and does not sync deletions.
- monday's April 20, 2026 notice says integrations had to move to a new Salesforce package, with July 31, 2026 recommended. If yours still shows Update Required, the admin installs the package and the owner reconnects in My Connections.
- To stop paying, disabling the integration in monday is not enough. The notice says the admin must remove the package from Salesforce.
monday.com does integrate with Salesforce, but it is not a free toggle. monday’s help pages call the Salesforce integration “a paid integration” sold as an add-on and show it as available on the Enterprise plan. On the Salesforce side you need an Enterprise or Unlimited edition, a Salesforce admin to install monday’s package, and a user with the API Enabled permission to build the integration from a board. Once connected it syncs Salesforce objects such as leads, contacts, accounts and opportunities to monday items, and can write changes back.
Checked on October 18, 2026. We read monday.com’s help articles for the Salesforce integration, the Salesforce 2-way sync app and the notice about updating to the new Salesforce package, which monday last published on April 20, 2026. We did not connect a live Salesforce org for this page.
Which monday.com Salesforce integration should I use?
monday has two, and the newer app is the one monday now points people to.
| Template integration | Salesforce 2-way sync app | |
|---|---|---|
| How it is built | Recipes such as “when an object meets these conditions, create an item and sync all future changes” | One configuration with a sync direction per object and per field |
| Two-way | Needs a second template that pushes items into Salesforce | One setup, choose two-way or one-way |
| Conditions | Checked once, when the item is first created | Separate incoming and outgoing conditions |
| Objects | Campaign, Account, Case, Lead, Opportunity, Contact, Orders, Users, plus custom objects | All non-deprecated Salesforce objects, standard and custom |
| Timing | Standard objects sync right after the change; custom objects up to 3 minutes | Polls every 3 minutes |
| Errors | Silent if a required Salesforce field is not mapped | Shown in Run History with the Salesforce message |

The template integration page has a trap worth knowing before you build anything: the conditions you set “are only checked once,” when the item is created. After that the item keeps syncing every future change without looking at the conditions again. A lead that stops matching your filter stays on the board.
What do I need before I connect Salesforce to monday.com?
- A Salesforce Enterprise or Unlimited edition. monday’s pages say Salesforce does not support integrations on its Essentials or Professional plans.
- A paid add-on on a monday Enterprise plan. The pages say to contact your account owner or monday support for pricing. We found no public price, so we cannot quote one.
- A Salesforce admin to install the package. The user needs the API Enabled permission. For a sandbox, replace
login.salesforce.comwithtest.salesforce.comin monday’s install link and tick the sandbox option with “.sandbox” in the subdomain. - The subdomain of your org. For
https://monday-dev-ed.my.salesforce.comit ismonday-dev-ed. A developer edition adds.develop, for examplesampleorg.develop.
Then on a board: Integrate > search Salesforce > choose the Salesforce 2-way sync app > connect > pick the object, sync direction, field mapping, and the incoming and outgoing conditions. Fields marked with a red asterisk must be mapped, and you can only map fields of the same type.
What does the monday.com Salesforce sync not do?
monday lists these limits for the 2-way sync app. They decide whether the integration fits your process.
- No import. There is no bulk import function. The workaround is to trigger the automation from a field.
- No subitems. Mapping to or from subitems is not supported.
- Lookups go one way. Lookup fields can be pulled from Salesforce as text, not updated back.
- Formulas, connected boards and mirror columns do not sync to Salesforce. Convert them to text, number or status first.
- No type conversion. If a phone field differs between systems it maps as text.
- Date versus date-time. Do not sync a date column with a date-time field.
- No deletions. They are not synced, by design.
The older integration adds one more: Salesforce allows fewer than 90 integration templates that pull in data for each object type, and monday shows “You have reached the Salesforce Integrations limit (90)” when you hit it. If a required Salesforce field is left unmapped, the older template does not work and gives no error message.
What is the new Salesforce package and do I have to update?
monday’s April 20, 2026 notice says the integration moved to a new package “that aligns with Salesforce’s official partnership and security requirements,” and recommended finishing by July 31, 2026. That date has passed. The notice applies to both the template integrations and the 2-way sync integrations. The steps it gives:
- A Salesforce admin installs the new package and adds the users allowed to use it in the package configuration.
- The integration owner reconnects in monday. Look for an Update Required status or a banner, open the three-dot menu in Connections and choose Reconnect, then select the updated package.
- Do not delete the connection on the monday side. The notice says reconnecting updates it automatically.
The notice also says that to stop using the integration and avoid charges, the admin must fully remove the package from Salesforce. Disabling it in monday alone is not enough.
Two ownership details from the 2-way sync page matter in practice. The connection uses its owner’s credentials, so if that person’s account is removed the connection breaks, and integrations must be re-authenticated by a new user. By default only the integration owner can edit the configuration. Use a dedicated integration account rather than a named employee.
Should I sync Salesforce to monday or move to monday CRM?
Sync when Salesforce is the system of record and monday runs delivery, onboarding or operations behind it. A sales-to-delivery handoff is the classic case. Migrate when you pay for Salesforce licences mainly to track a simple pipeline that monday CRM could hold: you remove a bill and a sync that someone must maintain. Before you map one field, write down which system owns each record, because two-way sync with no clear owner is how duplicate and conflicting contacts start.
We build both: Salesforce-to-monday integrations and full moves. Our Salesforce migration guide covers the data side of leaving Salesforce, and the monday.com service page covers how we scope a build. The integration also uses both vendors’ APIs, so read CRM API rate limits compared before you plan a high-volume sync.
