monday.com has a Nonprofit Program, and the headline offer is large: 10 free Pro seats on monday’s AI work platform, CRM, Service and Dev, 70% off seats beyond ten, and 33% off an Enterprise upgrade. Eligible organizations also get 33% off AI credits. You do not get it automatically. You apply through a verification partner, show legal documents, commit to a one-year subscription and prove eligibility again every year.
Checked on October 18, 2026. We read monday.com’s help center article “monday.com for nonprofits” and the program’s eligibility page. We did not apply for the program, so we cannot say how long approval takes. The help article does not show a last-modified date. The two pages differ slightly, and we say where.

Support and training are included: free 30-minute open consultations four times a week, live academy courses on donor, grant, task and volunteer management, webinars, and a community group. Certified monday partners may offer discounted implementation, and the help center says some give 20% off their consulting rates.
Who qualifies for the monday.com nonprofit discount?
The organization must be recognized as a charity, nonprofit, non-governmental or social change organization in the country where it is located, and must provide legal documentation. For the United States that means valid IRS charitable status such as 501(c)(3). Other countries use equivalent documents, defined by Goodstack, monday’s verification partner.
monday’s help center lists organizations that are not eligible. They include:
- Educational organizations such as schools, colleges and universities.
- Trade or business associations, and economic development bodies such as chambers of commerce.
- Government-managed or government-owned nonprofits without an independent board.
- Hospitals, health insurers and similar care providers.
- Political and legislative organizations.
- Professional sports organizations, and fraternal societies.
- UK Community Interest Companies.
- Organizations that advocate or practice discrimination.
The help center says monday decides eligibility “at its sole discretion” and may deny, end or change the program at any time. If you are on the borderline, such as a hospital foundation or a school’s parent group, apply with the right legal entity and read the exclusions before you plan around the discount.
How do I apply?
- Create your monday.com account first.
- Open monday’s nonprofit application form, run through Goodstack, and submit your legal documentation.
- Wait for the review. If you are denied and believe it was an error, submit the appeal form. monday says an initial reply comes within 48 hours of the appeal.
- If you already pay for monday.com, there are extra steps to switch the account to the program. You cannot get a refund for fees paid before approval, per the eligibility page.
What are the catches?
- One-year term only. You agree to a one-year subscription. The program does not honor monthly plans or discounts to monthly plans.
- Yearly reconfirmation. To keep the discount you must reconfirm eligibility every year. If you do not do it on time, or stop being eligible, you pay the full price unless you cancel before the term ends. Put the date in a calendar.
- Tax refund after purchase. Tax is charged at checkout. Tax-exempt organizations request a refund by email for every purchase, renewal and upgrade.
- Lot size. The older eligibility page says extra seats are only sold in lots of five. The newer help article does not mention it, so ask when you apply.
- Check the CRM claim before you rely on it. The help center lists CRM among the products with 10 free Pro seats, but we did not verify what a CRM seat includes at checkout. Use a free trial of monday CRM before you migrate donors.
Is monday.com a good fit for a nonprofit CRM?
It can be, for donor, volunteer and grant tracking, if you have someone to design the boards. monday’s own nonprofit academy teaches exactly those four workflows. The risk is not the license, which can be free, but the build: contact data, donation history, email sync and reporting need a plan or the board turns into a spreadsheet. Start with the difference between monday CRM and work management, price the seats you will need beyond ten in the monday CRM pricing calculator, and read what the plan limits are before you commit to a tier.
If you only need a personal or two-person tracker, the free plan may be enough: see whether monday.com is free for personal use. If you want help designing and migrating a nonprofit CRM, our monday.com service page describes how we scope that work.
