Does GoHighLevel Have a Power Dialer? How It Works and Where It Stops
Quick answer
Yes. GoHighLevel's power dialer is built on workflows: a Manual Call action puts contacts in a call queue under Conversations > Manual Actions, and reps dial through it one call at a time, logging an outcome after each. It has local presence caller ID, voicemail drop, recording and dispositions. It doesn't do parallel or predictive dialing.
Part of the guide: GoHighLevel automation
Key takeaways
- Yes. Add a Manual Call action to a workflow, and the contacts it enrolls land in a call queue under Conversations > Manual Actions for a rep or a round-robin of reps.
- Reps dial one contact at a time, log an outcome (No Answer, Busy, Voicemail or Completed) and move to the next. There's no parallel or predictive dialing.
- Local presence picks a caller ID with a matching area code in the US, Canada, UK and Australia. Voicemail drop and call recording are built in.
- Outbound calls on LC Phone cost $0.0166 a minute in the US, recording $0.0025 a minute and answering machine detection $0.0075 a call (pricing guide updated September 29, 2026).
- Federal rules still apply: calls only between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. local time, scrub against the Do Not Call registry at least every 31 days, and get consent before any prerecorded or autodialed call.
Yes. GoHighLevel’s power dialer is built on workflows. A Manual Call action puts each enrolled contact into a call queue under Conversations > Manual Actions, assigned to one rep or a round-robin. Reps dial through the queue in the built-in dialer one call at a time, log the outcome, and move to the next contact. HighLevel’s own blog post on the feature (March 13, 2025) describes exactly this. What it doesn’t do is parallel or predictive dialing.

How does the GoHighLevel power dialer work?
To set it up, per HighLevel’s Manual Call action article and web dialer article (modified September 4, 2026):
- Build a workflow with the trigger that should start calling: a form submission, a new opportunity, a stage change or a tag.
- Add a Manual Call action and assign it to a specific user or a round-robin.
- Add the follow-up. After the call, branch with If/Else on the outcome: text after No Answer, schedule a retry after Busy, move the opportunity after Completed.
- Reps open Conversations > Manual Actions, filter to Calls and start dialing. After each call they log the outcome and the next contact loads.
- Record dispositions that matter to you. HighLevel supports custom call dispositions that can trigger automations.
Speed matters most for new leads. Put the Manual Call action right after the trigger, and pair it with an instant text so a lead who isn’t reached in the first minutes still hears from you. Our triggers vs workflows guide covers the workflow side, and the workflow troubleshooting guide covers queues that stay empty.
What calling features come with it?
| Feature | What HighLevel provides | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Local presence | Picks a caller ID by ZIP, area code, overlay or nearest region; US, Canada, UK, Australia; same number for repeat calls; up to 50 numbers excludable | Local presence article, September 28, 2026 |
| Voicemail drop | Two-call method leaves a recording; carrier-dependent; consent required | Voicemail drop article, September 9, 2026 |
| Call recording | On by default, with a recording announcement HighLevel advises keeping | Dialer article |
| Dialer controls | Call transfer, keypad for phone menus, post-call notes and tags (default since February 21, 2025); auto-minimize, pin and drag (March 16, 2026) | Dialer refresh changelog, dialer update |
| Dispositions | Custom outcomes that can trigger automations | Dispositions article |
| AI voice agent | Separate product, priced per minute; can use number pools | AI pricing, September 28, 2026 |
Local presence helps answer rates, but a number flagged as spam undoes it. Our FAQ on calls showing Spam Likely covers registration and caller ID reputation, and is it legal to record calls covers recording consent by state.
What does calling cost?
From HighLevel’s pricing and billing guide, updated September 29, 2026, for US calls on LC Phone:
| Item | Price |
|---|---|
| Outbound call | $0.0166 per minute |
| Inbound call | $0.01165 per minute |
| Call recording | $0.0025 per minute |
| Transcription | $0.024 per minute |
| Answering machine detection | $0.0075 per call |
| Voicemail drop | $0.018 per minute |
| Voice AI engine | $0.045 per minute, plus voice and model costs |
Partial minutes round up. A rep making 80 two-minute calls a day with recording uses about 160 minutes, roughly $3.06 a day in call and recording charges.
The GoHighLevel hidden costs guide and pricing calculator put calling next to the other usage fees.
Where does it stop, compared with a dedicated dialer?
| Need | GoHighLevel power dialer | Dedicated dialer |
|---|---|---|
| Call one lead at a time, fast | Yes | Yes |
| Parallel or predictive (several lines at once) | No | Usually |
| Queue built from CRM automation | Yes, natively | Through an integration |
| Local presence | Yes | Usually |
| Live call coaching, whisper, barge | Not documented | Often |
| Working the queue on mobile | Limited; a requested feature | Varies |
| One bill and one contact record | Yes | No |
For teams calling inbound leads and warm follow-ups, the built-in dialer is usually enough and keeps everything on one record. High-volume outbound teams that need several lines at once tend to add a dedicated dialer that logs back into GoHighLevel. Some of those vendors publish comparisons claiming GoHighLevel has no call queue; HighLevel’s own documentation shows a queue through Manual Actions, though the multi-line limit is real.
Which calling rules apply?
The FTC’s Telemarketing Sales Rule guide sets the basics for sales calls:
- call only between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. in the recipient’s local time
- check numbers against the National Do Not Call Registry at least every 31 days, and keep your own do-not-call list
- transmit caller ID
- keep abandoned calls under the 3% safe harbor if you use any automated dialing
The FCC’s rules on unwanted calls and texts require prior consent for autodialed or prerecorded calls to mobile phones, which covers voicemail drops and AI voice calls. HighLevel’s terms also prohibit contacting numbers on do-not-call lists. Build the calling window and the DND check into the workflow, not into reps’ memory: a time-window step before the Manual Call action, and a DND filter on enrollment. The same consent logic applies to email; see can you send cold emails with GoHighLevel. Some states add their own rules on top: Arizona bars unsolicited sales calls to cell phones, and in Georgia the business a vendor dials for can be sued over the vendor’s calls.
