Does GoHighLevel Have a Free Trial? 14 Days, the 30-Day Links, and What Still Costs Money
Quick answer
Yes. GoHighLevel's standard free trial is 14 days with full access to the plan you choose, and billing starts automatically when it ends. 30-day trials exist only through approved high-performing affiliates. Texts, calls, phone numbers and premium AI are billed during the trial.
Part of the guide: GoHighLevel pricing
Key takeaways
- The standard GoHighLevel trial is 14 days with full access to the features of the plan you pick: Starter ($97), Unlimited ($297) or Agency Pro ($497).
- 30-day trial links are real but restricted. HighLevel gives them only to affiliates with 100+ active customers, approved by an affiliate manager. The default affiliate link is 14 days.
- Billing starts automatically when the trial ends unless you cancel. Usage fees for phone numbers, texts, calls and premium AI can apply during the trial.
- Some things are locked during a trial: messaging limits can't be raised, and SMS compliance text (sender ID and Reply STOP) is forced on.
- Back-to-back trials are against HighLevel's terms and can get an account suspended.
Yes. GoHighLevel’s standard free trial is 14 days with full access to the features of the plan you choose, per HighLevel’s pricing page. Billing begins automatically when the trial ends unless you cancel. 30-day trials exist, but HighLevel hands those links only to approved high-performing affiliates. And the trial isn’t fully free: usage fees for phone numbers, texts, calls and premium AI can be charged while it runs.

What does the GoHighLevel trial include?
The trial gives full access to whichever plan you pick. These are the plans and prices on HighLevel’s pricing page:
| Plan | Price after trial | What decides it |
|---|---|---|
| Starter | $97/month | One business, or an agency testing with up to 3 sub-accounts |
| Unlimited | $297/month | Agencies running unlimited client sub-accounts |
| Agency Pro | $497/month | Agencies reselling GoHighLevel in SaaS mode with rebilling |
| Enterprise | Custom | Large agencies with custom needs |
Our GoHighLevel pricing guide compares the plans line by line. Pick the plan you expect to stay on: switching plans mid-trial is possible, but testing SaaS mode on Unlimited tells you nothing.
14 days or 30 days: which trial link is real?
Both, with conditions. HighLevel’s affiliate referral article says:
- the default affiliate link gives new customers a 14-day trial, and existing customers get no trial
- 30-day trial links (gohighlevel.com/30-day-trial with the affiliate’s referral code) are “exclusively for high-performing affiliates” with 100 or more active customers, approved by an affiliate manager
When we opened gohighlevel.com/30-day-trial without a referral code on October 8, 2026, it advertised a 14-day trial. So a page that promises 30 days only gives 30 if it carries an approved affiliate’s code. Check the trial length on the signup screen before you enter payment details.
What costs money during the free trial?
The plan fee is free for the trial; usage isn’t. HighLevel’s pricing page says “usage-based fees for telecommunications or third-party services may apply during the trial.” In practice:
| Charged during the trial | Typical price (US) |
|---|---|
| Local phone number | $1.15 per month |
| SMS, per segment | $0.00747, plus carrier fees |
| Outbound call | $0.0166 per minute |
| Email via LC Email | $0.675 per 1,000 emails |
| A2P 10DLC brand registration | $22.50 one-time (low-volume brand) |
LC Phone and LC Email prices from HighLevel’s help center, checked October 8, 2026. A2P registration and carrier fees apply whether or not you stay.
If you will text US customers after the trial, start A2P 10DLC registration in the first week. Approval can take longer than the trial itself, and our A2P rejection guide covers the common reasons it fails. For the full list of add-ons, see GoHighLevel hidden costs.
What is locked during a trial?
A few limits apply until you are a paying, established account:
- Messaging limits can’t be raised. HighLevel’s messaging limits article requires three or more months on the platform and no active trial.
- SMS compliance text is forced on. HighLevel’s SMS compliance settings (modified September 1, 2026) add a sender ID and “Reply STOP” text that agencies in trial mode can’t switch off.
- Buying a US or Canadian number needs an ID check through Persona, per HighLevel’s identity verification article.
- Agency Pro may not be trialable. HighLevel’s Pro upgrade article says there is currently no free trial for Pro, which conflicts with the pricing page’s all-plans trial. Ask HighLevel before you rely on it.
How should you use the 14 days?
A trial is too short to build everything. Use it to answer whether GoHighLevel fits.
The calendar setup guide, email deliverability guide and missed-call text-back guide cover the pieces most trials test first.
How do you cancel before you’re charged?
From the agency account, HighLevel’s billing FAQ lists the path: Agency Settings > Billing > “Want to modify/cancel your subscription?” > Show More > Cancel Plan, then a reason, the data-loss warning and a feedback box of at least 30 words. Finish every step; stopping at the warning screen leaves the plan active. HighLevel’s terms say fees are non-refundable and prohibit back-to-back trials. Our cancellation FAQ covers refunds, the $27 pause plan and what happens to your data.
Want the trial to end with a working account?
If you already know GoHighLevel is the platform, a trial spent learning the builder is often slower than having it built. aibrevo scopes and builds GoHighLevel accounts with published price bands on the GoHighLevel implementation page, including A2P registration, domain authentication and a recorded handover. Book a 30-minute call before your trial starts and we’ll tell you what to test.
