Copper CRM does not have a free plan. It has a 14-day free trial with no credit card, and then three paid plans: Basic at $29 per seat per month billed monthly ($23 billed annually), Professional at $69 ($59) and Business at $134 ($99). The cheapest plan caps you at 2,500 contacts. Prices and limits below come from Copper’s pricing page and help center, checked October 22, 2026, in USD at the time of writing.

Does Copper CRM have a free plan?

No. Copper’s pricing page shows Basic, Professional and Business, each with a “Try Free” button, and nothing at $0. The page’s own line is “Start free, no credit card required”, which describes the trial. Copper’s home page says every plan starts with a 14-day free trial, and its signup page shows “Free 14-day trial.”

So the real answer to “free plan or free trial” is the trial: 14 days to test the product, then a paid plan. The pages we read do not describe a downgrade-to-free option or what happens to your data if you stop at day 14. Check that with Copper before you load production data.

The pricing page also lists features by plan in a comparison table whose marks did not survive in the text we could read, so we limit ourselves to the “what’s included” lists above. One thing it does confirm is that plan features include a Google Workspace set (Chrome extension for Gmail and Google Calendar, Gmail sync, Calendar sync, Contacts sync, Drive and Sheets), a QuickBooks link, Slack, Zendesk and Zapier. Which plan includes which integration is not visible in the extract.

How much does Copper cost for a small team?

Multiply the per-seat price by your seats. These figures use list prices only.

Seats Basic, monthly billing Basic, annual billing Professional, monthly Professional, annual Business, monthly Business, annual
1 $29 $23 $69 $59 $134 $99
5 $145 $115 $345 $295 $670 $495
10 $290 $230 $690 $590 $1,340 $990

Arithmetic from Copper’s list prices, checked Oct 22, 2026, per month. The page labels the lower prices “paid annually”. Basic costs $1,380 a year for 5 seats on annual billing.

Annual billing saves about 21% on Basic, 14% on Professional and 26% on Business, which is how Copper arrives at its “Up to 26% off” banner. The banner figure matches Business only. Our CRM pricing comparison puts these per-seat numbers next to other CRMs.

Contact limits push teams up the ladder faster than seat prices. A list of 3,000 contacts is over Basic’s 2,500, so Professional at $59 to $69 per seat is the floor, not Basic.

Does Copper CRM have a free trial?

Yes, 14 days, and Copper says no credit card is required. The pages we read do not say which features the trial includes or what happens to records above a plan’s contact limit.

If you want a trial you can leave without paying, treat day 14 as your decision date and export first. Copper’s help center says admins can export people, companies, opportunities, projects, tasks and leads from Workspace Settings, Export Data, and receive an Excel file by email (help article dated May 2025). Imports have limits of their own: Copper’s import article, dated September 2025, supports files up to 3 MB and asks you to import companies first, then people, then opportunities. See our CRM import limits research for how other CRMs compare.

How do you change or cancel a Copper plan?

Only account owners can request a plan change. To upgrade, go to Settings, then Billing in the Copper web app, where you can change the plan type and the number of seats. To downgrade, use the in-app chat and Copper’s billing team processes it. Copper’s help center has separate articles on purchasing or reducing seats and canceling a subscription, which we did not open, so check them for refund and notice terms.

When to get help

If you are comparing Copper with a CRM that has a free tier, the real costs are the contact limit, the integrations you need and the work of moving your data. A specialist saves time when you are deciding between CRMs, moving a few thousand contacts or rebuilding automation. aibrevo does not implement Copper, so Copper work is quoted per project, and migration into Salesforce, HubSpot, Dynamics 365, Zoho CRM, Pipedrive, monday.com, Airtable or GoHighLevel is the common request. Book a short call or send a message, and see our HubSpot and Pipedrive pages.

FAQs

Does Copper CRM have a free plan?

No. Copper's pricing page lists Basic, Professional and Business, all paid per seat per month, and no free tier. Copper offers a free trial instead: every plan starts with a 14-day free trial and the pricing page says no credit card is required. After the trial you pay for a plan or stop.

How long is Copper's free trial?

14 days. Copper's home page says every plan starts with a 14-day free trial with no credit card required, and the signup page repeats the 14-day figure. The pages we read do not say whether the trial includes every feature of the plan you pick, so check that on the plan comparison before you rely on one feature.

What is the cheapest Copper CRM plan?

Basic, at $29 per seat per month billed monthly or $23 per seat per month billed annually, at the time of writing. It includes a 2,500 contact limit, task automation, pipelines, project management and contact enrichment. Prices are in USD and exclude taxes and fees where applicable.

How many contacts does each Copper plan allow?

Basic allows 2,500 contacts, Professional allows 15,000 and Business is unlimited, per Copper's pricing page. Professional adds workflow automation, bulk email, reporting and integrations, and Business adds email series, custom reports, multi-currency and premium support. If your list is above 2,500, Basic is not enough.

How much does Copper CRM cost per month for 5 users?

At list price, five seats on Basic cost $145 a month billed monthly or $115 billed annually. On Professional it is $345 monthly or $295 annually, and on Business $670 monthly or $495 annually. These multiply Copper's per-seat prices by five and exclude taxes and fees.

How much do you save by paying annually with Copper?

Per seat per month, Basic drops from $29 to $23, Professional from $69 to $59 and Business from $134 to $99, which is about 21%, 14% and 26% off. Copper's pricing page advertises up to 26% off. That figure matches the Business plan, so Basic and Professional save less.

How do I upgrade or downgrade my Copper plan?

Only account owners can request a change. To upgrade, go to Settings, Billing in the Copper web app and change the plan type or number of seats. To downgrade, use the in-app chat and Copper's billing team processes it. Copper's help article on the topic was last dated February 2024.

Can I export my data from Copper before the trial ends?

Yes. By default admins can export data from Workspace Settings, Export Data, covering people, companies, opportunities, projects, tasks and leads. Copper emails a link to an Excel file. Exporting a filtered list needs a permission the admin turns on for the user. Copper's help article is dated May 2025.

Is there a free CRM alternative to Copper?

Several CRMs list free plans. Capsule offers a free plan for up to 2 users with 250 contacts and 1 sales pipeline. Attio offers a free plan for up to 3 seats with 50,000 records. Both have tight limits and different integrations, so check them against Copper's Google Workspace features before switching.
