Nutshell CRM Alternatives: 7 Options Compared Tier by Tier
Nutshell CRM alternatives for teams that find its five-tier ladder, its 100-open-lead cap on Foundation or its add-on prices too steep. Seven options with seat prices checked Oct 22, 2026, a 10-user cost chart and Nutshell's export steps.
Key takeaways
- Nutshell lists five tiers at $13, $25, $42, $59 and $79 per user per month, so the top tier costs 6.1 times the entry tier (Nutshell pricing page, checked Oct 22, 2026). Foundation caps open leads at 100, and sales automation only starts at Pro.
- For 10 users, Nutshell Pro is $5,040 a year. Pipedrive Growth ($39) is $4,680, Zoho CRM Professional ($23, Oct 6 figure) is $2,760 and Less Annoying CRM ($15) is $1,800, all billed yearly.
- Nutshell add-ons are separate lines: Marketing $49 a month, Engagement $16 per user, SMS from $15 a month, Proposals and invoices $79 a month (pricing page, checked Oct 22, 2026).
- Nutshell's full export is administrator-only and downloads a ZIP of CSV files: accounts, activities, contacts, emails, leads, notes, products and tasks. Emails are truncated, and the help article does not say whether file attachments are included.
- The AI allowance is metered per tier: 10 outcomes on Foundation, 20 on Growth, 40 on Pro, 100 on Business and 150 on the top tier, per month.
Nutshell’s seat price climbs fast: $13 on Foundation, $42 on Pro, $79 on the top tier, per user per month, and the features most teams switch for, automation and more than one pipeline, start at Pro. If you are weighing Nutshell CRM alternatives (prices checked Oct 22, 2026), this page prices seven, charts the first-year cost at 10 users, and covers how Nutshell’s export works so you know what you are taking with you.
Why do teams look for a Nutshell alternative?
The reasons below come from Nutshell’s own pricing page, not from reviews.
| Pressure point | What Nutshell’s page says (checked Oct 22, 2026) | What to compare |
|---|---|---|
| Entry tier is capped | Foundation limits open leads to 100, per the page FAQ | Tools with no stated lead cap on the first tier |
| Automation and pipelines sit at Pro | Pro ($42) lists 5 custom pipelines, sales automation and a meeting scheduler; Business ($59) lists 10 pipelines; the top tier ($79) lists unlimited | Seat price where automation starts |
| Add-ons are separate | Marketing $49 a month, Engagement $16 per user, SMS from $15 a month, prospecting from $37 a month, proposals and invoices $79 a month | Total price with the add-ons you use |
| AI is metered | 10, 20, 40, 100 and 150 AI outcomes a month by tier | Whether you value that allowance |
Source: Nutshell pricing. The page states “unlimited contacts and storage” on all plans, and says webchat, an AI chatbot, a form builder, landing pages and email marketing capabilities come with every CRM subscription. It does not state a minimum number of users.

Read the chart left to right as a price of automation. At 10 users, moving from Nutshell Pro to Pipedrive Growth saves $360 a year on seat fees, and to Less Annoying CRM saves $3,240. Those savings disappear if you also lose features you rely on, so list the three things you use daily before you compare. The CRM pricing comparison shows the same per-seat bands for eight larger CRMs, and how to choose a CRM is the checklist version.
Which alternative is best for each reason?
- The tier ladder is too steep. Less Annoying CRM has no tiers, so there is nothing to climb. Read Less Annoying CRM alternatives first, since a single plan also means one set of limits.
- You need automation without paying for Pro. Pipedrive Growth, Zoho Professional or Capsule Growth list it at lower seat prices than Nutshell Pro. See Capsule CRM alternatives for how Capsule’s own caps work.
- You pay for SMS and marketing add-ons. A flat account price changes that sum: GoHighLevel at $97 to $497 a month covers unlimited users, with phone and email usage billed on top. See the GoHighLevel pricing guide.
- You want a free start. HubSpot for 2 users or Zoho for 3.
What does it cost to move off Nutshell?
Nutshell’s help center dated August 4, 2026 gives three export routes, and they cover different things.
- List export (any user, if the admin allows it). Open Companies, People or Leads, toggle the visible columns, optionally select rows, click Export and download the CSV when it is ready. The file follows your filters and visible columns, and if no rows are selected the whole list exports.
- Reports. From the Reports tab, customise the lead data and choose “Download lead list”. The Products report has its own CSV download.
- Full export (administrators only). Settings, then Data, then Export, then Create full export. Nutshell bundles a ZIP of CSV files for accounts, activities, contacts, emails (truncated), leads, notes, products and tasks.
Two traps. Emails are truncated, so if your sales history lives in email threads, copy what you need from the connected inbox rather than trusting the file. And the article does not say whether file attachments come out. An administrator can also turn off the Export button for users in General Settings, which is the usual reason a team member cannot find it. The API is a fourth route for large or scripted pulls. How to export your data from 8 CRMs shows how other vendors handle history and files, and CRM import limits covers the receiving side.
For cost, aibrevo’s implementation benchmark (median of published price pages, checked October 2026, not aibrevo quotes) puts small builds at $1.5k to $3.5k on Pipedrive and $3k to $10k on Zoho CRM. The CRM migration guide lays out the cutover order.
When to get help
The part that eats time is rebuilding Nutshell’s automations and pipelines by hand, because the export carries records and not workflows. Nutshell is not one of the eight platforms aibrevo implements, so the work is quoted per project, and the common request is migration into HubSpot, Zoho CRM, Pipedrive, monday.com or GoHighLevel. Book a short call or send a message with your user count and the tier you are on. Matching services: HubSpot, Zoho, Pipedrive and GoHighLevel.
