GoHighLevel October 2026 Updates: A2P Number Status, Lead Source Value and Recurring Appointments
HighLevel's October 6, 2026 releases add a live A2P registration status on every phone number (Pending, Registered, Failed), revenue by status and drill-down in the Lead Source Report, and one confirmation per recurring appointment series. What changed, what it means for CRM users and what to do this week.
Key takeaways
- October 6, 2026: every phone number linked to an A2P campaign now shows a live status on the phone numbers page: Pending, Registered (with an "A2P Verified" tag) or Failed. Existing numbers were updated automatically.
- The change targets error 30034, the failure you get when texting from a number that isn't registered yet. Wait for Registered before turning on a texting workflow.
- The Lead Source Report now shows dollar value for Open, Won, Lost and Abandoned opportunities by source, lets you click any count to see the opportunities behind it, and lists leads with no source as "N/A".
- Recurring appointments now send one confirmation for the whole series instead of one per occurrence, and custom recurring appointments get notifications for the first time. Reminders still go out for each visit.
- Pricing changes this month are separate: carrier fees rose October 1 and international SMS, voice and number prices rise October 13.
HighLevel shipped three changes on October 6, 2026 that matter to anyone using GoHighLevel as a CRM: a live A2P registration status on every phone number, revenue and drill-down in the Lead Source Report, and cleaner notifications for recurring appointments. None needs setup. Each one does change what you should check this week.
Checked on October 6, 2026 against HighLevel’s changelog entries, all published October 6.
| Change | Where | Setup needed | Act on it if |
|---|---|---|---|
| Live A2P status per number | Phone numbers page | None | You text from numbers added or re-registered recently |
| Lead Source Report value and drill-down | Dashboard widget | Add the widget if you don’t have it | You decide ad spend by source |
| One confirmation per recurring series | Calendar notifications | Check your template’s date and time value | You book series such as therapy, training or treatment plans |
How do you know when a GoHighLevel number is ready to text?
Look at its status on the phone numbers page. According to HighLevel’s changelog entry, “each number linked to an A2P campaign shows a live registration status: Pending, Registered or Failed.” Registered numbers get an “A2P Verified” tag. Before this, you could only see that a number had been submitted and then wait out a 24-hour window.
| Status | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Pending | Waiting on carrier registration; HighLevel says this typically completes within 24 hours | Don’t turn on texting workflows from this number yet |
| Registered (“A2P Verified”) | The carriers have registered the number | Safe to send from, within your campaign’s use case |
| Failed | The carrier rejected the registration | Stop sends from it, fix the cause, resubmit |
Why it matters. Texting from a number that isn’t registered yet is a common cause of error 30034, which HighLevel names as one of the failures this update prevents. If you’ve ever launched a campaign the day you bought a number and watched messages fail, this is the fix: wait for Registered. Our guide to GoHighLevel SMS error codes covers 30034 and the other common failures, and A2P registration rejected covers what to do when a campaign, not a number, fails.
This week: open the phone numbers page in each sub-account that texts, and look for any number showing Failed or still Pending. Existing numbers were updated automatically, so the status is already there.
How do you see revenue by lead source in GoHighLevel?
Use the Lead Source Report widget. HighLevel’s October 6 update adds four things:
- Value by status. Each source shows the monetary value of Open, Won, Lost and Abandoned opportunities, not just the total.
- Drill-down. Click any count above zero under Total leads, Open, Won, Lost or Abandoned to see the exact opportunities behind it.
- Source filters. The Source filter supports “Is empty” and “Is not empty”.
- Missing sources show up. Opportunities without a source now appear as “N/A” instead of being left out.
Why it matters. Before this, a channel could look strong on lead count while producing little won revenue, and leads with no source quietly disappeared from the report. Now the gap is visible. A big N/A row is a data-quality problem, usually a form, import or integration that doesn’t set the source field. That matters most if you use the report to decide where ad money goes.
This week: open the report, check the size of the N/A row, and drill into it to see which forms or imports created those opportunities. Fixing the source capture now makes next month’s numbers trustworthy. If your pipeline values are blank, the value columns will be too, so make sure opportunities carry a value.
What changed for recurring appointments?
HighLevel’s recurring appointments update sends “a single confirmation that covers the whole series” instead of one per occurrence, and custom recurring appointments now get notifications, which they didn’t before. Reminders and follow-ups still go out for each occurrence.
Why it matters. Clinics, studios and coaches who book a series used to send a burst of confirmations at booking, which looks like spam to the client. One confirmation is cleaner. HighLevel notes two limits: the change applies to calendar notifications only, so workflow-based confirmations behave as before, and to show the recurrence details your notification template needs the appointment date and time custom value.
This week: if you send confirmations from a workflow rather than calendar notifications, check you’re not now sending both. Book a test series and read what the client receives.
What else changed in October 2026?
Pricing changes are separate from these feature releases:
- October 1: US carrier fees rose for Verizon and the “Other” carrier group.
- October 13: select international SMS, voice and phone number rental prices rise. US and Canada rates are not on the lists, though Puerto Rico appears among the voice routes.
For the September releases, including the Mexico fixed-line SMS change, see our September 2026 updates. Our October price changes page covers both, and the 2026 price change tracker puts them alongside every other change this year.
Need help with any of this?
If numbers keep failing registration, your lead sources are mostly N/A, or your notifications and workflows are double-sending, the cause is usually in the account’s setup rather than the platform. aibrevo reviews and fixes GoHighLevel accounts; builds are delivered by the team at autoesta, which backs aibrevo.
