What Is LeadConnector? The Name Behind GoHighLevel's Texts, Charges and App
Quick answer
LeadConnector is the unbranded name HighLevel uses for parts of GoHighLevel: its phone system (LC Phone), its email service (LC Email), its mobile app and its link domains. If you got a text, an email, a calendar link or a charge that says LeadConnector, it almost always came from a business or agency that runs its CRM on GoHighLevel.

Key takeaways
- LeadConnector is part of HighLevel (GoHighLevel). The name appears on its phone system (LC Phone), email service (LC Email), mobile app, Zapier app and link domains such as leadconnectorhq.com.
- It exists so agencies can resell GoHighLevel under their own brand. The LeadConnector name is neutral, so clients don't see the word HighLevel.
- If you received a text or email from LeadConnector, a business that uses GoHighLevel sent it. Reply STOP to a text and the system marks you Do Not Disturb for SMS.
- A LeadConnector or HighLevel charge on a card usually means a GoHighLevel subscription, a wallet top-up for texts and calls, or a purchase from a business that sells through GoHighLevel.
- LC Phone texts cost $0.00747 per segment in the US and Canada, plus carrier fees, per HighLevel's pricing guide updated September 29, 2026.
LeadConnector is HighLevel. It is the neutral name HighLevel puts on parts of GoHighLevel that end customers see: the phone and texting system (LC Phone), the email service (LC Email), the Lead Connector mobile app, the LeadConnector app on Zapier, and link domains such as leadconnectorhq.com. If a text, email, booking link or card charge says LeadConnector, a business or agency running its CRM on GoHighLevel is behind it.

Why does GoHighLevel use the name LeadConnector?
GoHighLevel is sold mostly to marketing agencies, and many of them resell it to their own clients under their own brand. A product name like “HighLevel” on every text, link and app would give that away. So HighLevel runs the customer-facing pieces under a neutral name. The help center calls the mobile app “graylabeled” for that reason: it is not HighLevel-branded, but it is not the agency’s brand either. Agencies that want their own name on the app and links pay for full white-labeling.
What are LC Phone and LC Email?
LC Phone is HighLevel’s native phone system. It provides local and toll-free numbers, two-way texting, calling, call recording and the A2P 10DLC registration US businesses need to text customers. HighLevel’s phone system FAQ calls it “the default and recommended option”. Accounts that connected their own Twilio account earlier can keep it; see can I use my own Twilio account with GoHighLevel.
LC Email is the built-in email service. HighLevel’s LC Email article (modified August 20, 2026) says it handles sending and receiving for every sub-account with no third-party setup, at $0.675 per 1,000 emails sent and $2.50 per 1,000 email verifications.
Here is what LC Phone costs in the US and Canada, from HighLevel’s pricing and billing guide (updated September 29, 2026):
| Item | Price |
|---|---|
| SMS, inbound or outbound | $0.00747 per segment |
| MMS, outbound | $0.0220 per message |
| Outbound call | $0.0166 per minute |
| Inbound call (local number) | $0.01165 per minute |
| Local number | $1.15 per month |
| Toll-free number | $2.15 per month |
| A2P 10DLC, low-volume brand | $22.50 one-time, then a monthly campaign fee up to $10.50 |
| Carrier fee, AT&T SMS (example) | $0.0035 per outbound message |
Carrier fees are added per message on top of the SMS rate and differ by carrier. If an agency resells LC Phone with rebilling on, HighLevel adds a 5% markup to pass-through fees.
The GoHighLevel hidden costs guide puts these next to the other usage fees, and the pricing calculator totals a monthly bill.
Why did LeadConnector or HighLevel charge my card?
Match the charge to one of these situations:
| Who you are | What the charge usually is | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| A GoHighLevel customer | Your plan, an add-on, or an automatic wallet recharge that pays for texts, calls, email and AI | Check Agency Settings > Billing, or the sub-account’s wallet, for a matching transaction |
| A client of a marketing agency | Your agency’s software fee, often billed through the agency’s own Stripe account | Ask the agency what the line item covers |
| A shopper who paid a business | A product, booking or invoice the business sold through GoHighLevel | Look for a receipt email from that business on the same date |
| None of the above | Possibly an unrecognized purchase | Contact the business first, then your card issuer |
Two details catch GoHighLevel customers out. First, the wallet recharges on its own when the balance runs low, so usage charges arrive at different times from the plan fee. Second, HighLevel’s terms of service state that fees, including communication surcharges, are non-refundable. If you are trying to stop charges for good, see how to cancel GoHighLevel.
Why am I getting texts or emails from LeadConnector?
A business you gave your number or email to uses GoHighLevel, often for appointment reminders, quote follow-ups or marketing. The LeadConnector name can appear in the sender details, the link domain or the app the business’s staff reply from.
To stop the texts, reply STOP. HighLevel’s Do Not Disturb article says keywords such as STOP and UNSUBSCRIBE automatically switch on Do Not Disturb for SMS on your contact record, and START switches it back off. Unsubscribing from an email, marking it as spam, or a hard bounce turns on email Do Not Disturb the same way. The opt-out applies to that one business’s account, so repeat it for each sender.
New GoHighLevel accounts can’t skip this. HighLevel’s SMS compliance settings (modified September 1, 2026) force a sender ID and “Reply STOP” text on agencies still in trial and on sub-accounts younger than 15 days.
What is the Lead Connector app?
It is the free mobile app for GoHighLevel accounts, listed on the App Store as Lead Connector by LeadConnector LLC. When we checked on October 8, 2026, it had a 4.5 rating from more than 4,000 ratings. Staff use it to reply to texts and chats, manage contacts and calendars, and move deals. It needs a login from a GoHighLevel account. Our GoHighLevel mobile app guide covers what it can and can’t do.
On Zapier, the LeadConnector app connects GoHighLevel to other tools with one trigger (Pipeline Stage Changed) and five actions, including adding contacts and opportunities. The Zapier vs native integrations guide explains when to use it.
Can agencies hide the LeadConnector name?
Partly. An agency can:
- set a branded domain under Settings > Business Profile so booking links and review requests use its own domain instead of api.leadconnectorhq.com (HighLevel marked this request solved in June 2025)
- buy HighLevel’s white-label mobile app so clients download an app in the agency’s name
- set a statement descriptor on products so card statements show the business name (Additional Settings > Statement Descriptor, per HighLevel’s product setup article)
- send email from its own authenticated domain, covered in our SPF, DKIM and DMARC guide
These four settings are a routine part of a white-label build. If clients are asking “what is LeadConnector?” about your account, that’s a sign they were skipped. The GoHighLevel white label guide walks through the full setup, and aibrevo’s GoHighLevel implementation service includes branded domains, email authentication and A2P registration in every build.
