Zenoti
Best for Multi-provider med spas, salons and wellness centres that need booking, POS, memberships, inventory, payroll and charting in one system
GoHighLevel
Best for Practices and agencies that need lead capture, SMS and email follow-up, campaigns, reactivation and reputation work on top of a booking system
The short answer
These two tools do different jobs, so the question is usually not which one to buy but which one runs the front desk and which one runs the follow-up. Zenoti is spa, salon and med spa management software: its own site lists online booking, an appointment book, point of sale, memberships and packages, inventory, integrated payroll and tipping, forms and charting, marketing and loyalty. GoHighLevel is a CRM and marketing automation platform: lead capture, SMS and email, missed-call text-back, booking calendars, pipelines, reputation requests, funnels and reporting, from $97 a month. Where they overlap (booking, memberships, messaging), Zenoti holds the clinical and financial record, and GoHighLevel is not built to replace it. GoHighLevel has no inventory control, payroll or commission engine, and no treatment chart or photo record that we could find in HighLevel's documentation. If you need the operating system of a multi-provider clinic or spa, choose Zenoti or a rival such as Boulevard or Mangomint. If you already have one and your problem is leads that never book, lapsed clients and slow replies, GoHighLevel is the layer that fixes that. Many clinics run both, with Zenoti as the system of record and GoHighLevel handling campaigns, lead nurture and reactivation. That setup adds a sync to build and maintain, which is the real cost of choosing both.
aibrevo's take: Zenoti if you need to run the clinic, GoHighLevel if you need to fill and re-fill it. If you have a booking system already, add GoHighLevel for follow-up before you replace anything. If you have neither, pick the operating system first.
Find the row that sounds like your team. Each pick is based on the verified pricing and limits below, not on brand preference.
Multi-provider med spa with injectables, lasers and retail
Zenoti wins
Scheduling by provider and room, POS, inventory, packages and charting are the daily work, and GoHighLevel does not cover them.
Med spa with a booking system that leaks inquiries and lapsed clients
GoHighLevel wins
Missed-call text-back, fast replies, reactivation and review requests are GoHighLevel strengths; replacing the booking system would not fix them.
Hair or day spa with commission staff and retail products
Zenoti wins
Payroll, tips, commission and stock control are management-software jobs that GoHighLevel does not do.
Marketing agency serving clinics and spas
GoHighLevel wins
Sub-accounts, snapshots and rebilling are agency features. You will still connect each client's own booking system.
Clinic that wants one tool for everything
Either works
Neither covers everything. Zenoti covers more of operations and some marketing; GoHighLevel covers more of lead follow-up. Expect to run one plus a connection to the other.
Solo injector or small cash-pay practice with simple scheduling
GoHighLevel wins
A lighter booking tool plus GoHighLevel for follow-up may fit better than a full management platform. Compare lighter booking tools before committing.

| Verdict | Wins as the system of record: scheduling, money, stock, staff, clinical notes | Wins as the follow-up layer: leads, replies, reactivation, reviews, campaigns |
Zenoti does not publish prices. Its pricing page shows plans by business type (Salon and Spa, Medspa, Fitness, Barbershop), 'Get a Quote' and 'Book a demo' buttons, no dollar amounts, add-ons on all plans, an AI Plus package required for its AI agents, and communication tools (voice, SMS, messaging) included but billed on usage (zenoti.com/pricing, checked October 12, 2026). Any specific Zenoti price you see elsewhere is an estimate. Capterra's listing shows 'starting at $300 per month' and reviewers on other sites report $350 to $500 a month per location in quotes, with a typical 12-month minimum and implementation fees quoted separately; treat those as reported figures, not Zenoti's price list. GoHighLevel publishes its plans: $97 Starter (three sub-accounts), $297 Unlimited and $497 Agency Pro a month, or $970, $2,970 and $4,970 a year, with unlimited users and contacts and a 14-day free trial (gohighlevel.com/pricing, checked October 12, 2026). Calls, texts and email are metered on top, and a med spa that needs protected health information handled adds HighLevel's HIPAA package at $297 a month, which cannot be cancelled once enabled (HighLevel help center, checked October 12, 2026). aibrevo's published GoHighLevel setup price at the time of writing is $1,499 to $4,999 for a single business and $3,999 to $6,999 for a white-label SaaS build, with multi-location rollouts quoted by number of locations, separate from HighLevel's own fees. aibrevo does not implement Zenoti and publishes no Zenoti price.
How aibrevo scopes and quotes →Most clinics never migrate between these two, because they do different jobs. The common move is adding GoHighLevel beside Zenoti. The connection works through events: Zenoti's webhooks fire on guest created or updated, appointment completed, invoice closed, membership created, frozen or cancelled, and package redemption, and sending them to GoHighLevel can create contacts, tag treatments, start review requests and trigger renewal or win-back sequences. Zenoti says webhooks need its API package, enabled through your customer success manager, and it does not state delivery guarantees, so build a reconciliation check. GoHighLevel has no first-party Zenoti app that we found; the usual routes are Zapier, a middleware tool such as Keragon, or custom webhook work. Moving client records from a booking system into GoHighLevel alone is a smaller job, but only import what marketing needs: name, contact details, consent status, last visit and treatment category. Do not copy charts, photos or clinical notes into a CRM that is not set up for protected health information. Replacing Zenoti with another operating system is a separate project: Zenoti says data migration averages 48 hours and setup takes about four weeks on its side, which is a vendor claim. If you are leaving GoHighLevel for a spa platform's built-in marketing, list every workflow that texts, books or routes a lead first, because each one needs a replacement or is lost. Texting needs A2P 10DLC registration before messages send reliably, and consent records must travel with the contact.
Compare the stack, not the sticker. GoHighLevel on annual billing is $970 a year on Starter ($2,910 over three years), $2,970 on Unlimited ($8,910) and $4,970 on Agency Pro ($14,910), before metered usage. Adding the HIPAA package is $3,564 a year ($10,692 over three years), so a single-location HIPAA-ready account on Starter is about $4,534 a year, or $13,602 over three years, before usage and setup. Zenoti's cost cannot be computed from its own site because it publishes no price. As an illustration only, if a quote came in at the roughly $300 a month per location that Capterra's listing shows as a starting point, that is $3,600 a year or $10,800 over three years per location for the subscription alone, before implementation, payment processing, SMS usage and add-ons, and third-party sources report that implementation is quoted separately. Use your own written quote instead of this number. The real comparison is the combined stack against the alternative of buying neither: if Zenoti already runs the clinic, the incremental cost of GoHighLevel is its plan, usage, optional HIPAA package and the one-time sync and setup, against the revenue from faster lead response and reactivation, which we do not claim a figure for. Use the pricing calculator on this site to model the GoHighLevel side at your message volume.
If it is 'staff cannot see rooms, stock or commissions', that is an operating system problem (Zenoti or a rival). If it is 'inquiries do not turn into booked consultations' or 'clients stop coming back', that is a follow-up problem GoHighLevel was built for.
Treatment charts, consent forms, photos, prescriptions, package balances and invoices belong in the system that is built and contracted for them. Decide that first; marketing data can be a copy.
Appointment reminders may be fine with minimal detail. If treatment type or notes would flow into GoHighLevel, HighLevel's HIPAA package, a signed BAA and a per-sub-account switch come first. See the HIPAA FAQ on this site.
One chair and one owner can run on a lighter booking tool plus GoHighLevel. Several providers, multi-location reporting and commission rules are where a full management platform earns its price.
Request the per-location subscription, implementation, SMS and voice usage rates, payment processing rates, add-on packages (AI, API) and contract length. Pricing is not published, so compare in writing.
Appointment reminders and receipts from Zenoti plus promotions from GoHighLevel means clients can get overlapping texts. Pick one sender per message type and keep a single opt-out list.
Start with a single event, such as appointment completed to review request, and confirm it fires, deduplicates and respects opt-outs before you connect membership and win-back flows.
The most common failure when running both is two systems that both text the client. Zenoti sends its own reminders and campaigns, GoHighLevel sends its own sequences, and nobody owns the overlap, so clients get duplicate or contradictory messages and opt-outs recorded in one system keep texting from the other. The second is a sync that creates a new contact for every event instead of matching an existing one, so the client appears three times and sequences fire three times. The third is treating the CRM as a place to copy charts and notes because it is convenient, then discovering HIPAA was never enabled on that sub-account. The fourth is buying GoHighLevel expecting it to replace the booking system, then finding no inventory, payroll or treatment record and rebuilding the clinic's operations in spreadsheets. The fifth is the reverse: leaving a working Zenoti and paying for GoHighLevel without designing the follow-up that uses it. The last is texting without A2P 10DLC registration and clean consent records, which leads to blocked messages.
Not for a clinic that runs on Zenoti's operating features. GoHighLevel has no inventory, payroll or commission engine, no retail point of sale and no treatment chart that we could find in HighLevel's documentation. It can replace the marketing, follow-up and review tools inside Zenoti, which is why many practices keep both.
Yes. A common design keeps Zenoti as the system of record for appointments, payments, memberships and clinical notes, and sends events to GoHighLevel for follow-up. There is no first-party GoHighLevel app for Zenoti that we found, so the link runs through Zapier, a middleware tool or custom webhooks from Zenoti's API.
No. Zenoti's pricing page lists plans by business type with Get a Quote and Book a demo buttons and no dollar amounts, checked October 12, 2026. Figures you see on review sites are estimates or reported quotes. Ask for a written quote covering subscription, implementation, usage, payment processing, add-ons and contract term.
It is good at the marketing side of a med spa: lead capture, consultation booking, reminders, no-show recovery, reactivation and review requests. It is not a med spa management system. For the build, see the med spa setup page and the industry page on this site rather than relying on a generic snapshot.
Zenoti states on its med spa HIPAA page that it signs a Business Associate Agreement for med spa customers and encrypts protected health information at rest and in transit. Those are vendor statements. Request the BAA and security documentation in writing before loading patient data, and confirm which add-ons are covered.
Not by default. HighLevel's help center says HIPAA is a paid package at $297 a month that cannot be turned off once bought, includes a signed BAA, and must be enabled per sub-account in Advanced Settings. Tools you connect, such as Zapier or a sync, are not covered by it automatically.
Neither is better in general. A small spa that needs a calendar, payments, forms and stock first needs a booking and management system, which may be Zenoti or a lighter rival. A small spa with a booking tool that struggles to convert inquiries needs GoHighLevel. Start from the problem, not the product.
Yes. HighLevel lists booking calendars among its core features, with reminders and confirmations. It handles consultation and appointment booking well. It is not built for room and equipment scheduling across several providers with commission, which is where a spa management system is stronger.
It can bill recurring offers and trigger renewal and expiry messages, and it has membership sites for courses. It does not hold service balances or redeem a package at the front desk. Keep the balance in the booking system and use GoHighLevel for the reminders around it.
Based on each vendor's own materials: inventory management, integrated payroll and tipping, a retail point of sale, multi-resource spa scheduling, and treatment charting with photos and e-prescribing. We found none of these described in HighLevel's documentation as of October 12, 2026.
Use Zenoti webhooks (guest, appointment, invoice, membership and package events) or Zapier to send events to a GoHighLevel inbound webhook or contact action. Zenoti says webhooks require its API package, enabled through your customer success manager. Test one event first and match on email or phone to avoid duplicates.
Zenoti includes client records, segmentation, campaigns and loyalty, but it describes itself as spa, salon, med spa and fitness management software, with booking, POS, memberships, inventory and payroll at the core. A CRM such as GoHighLevel goes deeper on lead capture, multi-channel sequences and pipeline tracking.
Zenoti's pricing page says voice, SMS and messaging tools are included in the subscription and that usage is billed on consumption, with optional base packs. It lists no rates. Ask for per-message rates in writing, and compare them with GoHighLevel's published SMS segment rate before running large campaigns.
We found no first-party GoHighLevel marketplace app for Zenoti as of October 12, 2026. Zenoti publishes webhooks and an API, and a Zapier app exists, so connections are built through Zapier, a middleware tool or custom webhooks. Confirm current options with each vendor before scoping.
Zenoti's site claims setup in about four weeks and data migration in an average of 48 hours, which are vendor claims; independent estimates for multi-location rollouts are longer. A single-location GoHighLevel follow-up build typically takes two to four weeks. A sync between them adds scoping time.
Yes, through connected payment processors, invoices and order forms, including deposits at booking. It does not work as a retail point of sale with tipping, gift card redemption, package balances or stock decrements. Keep in-person checkout in the booking system.
They are not priced for the same job. GoHighLevel is published at $97 to $497 a month plus usage. Zenoti is quote-based. The cheaper answer is the one that removes the problem you have: do not pay for operations software to fix a lead follow-up gap, or for a CRM to run stock and payroll.
