Salesforce Core, Advanced and Max Editions: What the 2026 Pricing Change Means

On September 3, 2026, Salesforce launched Core ($195), Advanced ($395) and Max ($550) editions for Sales, Service and Industries, each bundling Agentforce, Slack, Tableau Next and Flex Credits. Its public Sales pricing page no longer lists Enterprise or Unlimited. Existing customers keep their legacy pricing. Here is what changed and who should act.

Key takeaways

  • September 3, 2026: Salesforce introduced Core, Advanced and Max editions for Sales, Service and Industries at $195, $395 and $550 per user per month, billed yearly.
  • Each edition bundles Agentforce, Slack and Slackbot, Tableau Next, a Premier Success Plan and Flex Credits: 500,000 (Core), 1 million (Advanced) and 2.75 million (Max).
  • On October 6, 2026, Salesforce's public Sales pricing page lists Free, Starter Suite ($25), Pro Suite ($100), Core, Advanced and Max. Enterprise and Unlimited are not on it.
  • Salesforce says existing customer pricing on legacy editions is unchanged, and Agentforce 1 Edition customers can move to Max at no extra cost.
  • For a new 10-user team, the step from Pro Suite to Core is $11,400 a year in list price ($12,000 vs $23,400).

Salesforce changed what a new customer can buy above $100 a user. On September 3, 2026, it introduced three editions, Core, Advanced and Max, and its public Sales pricing page now goes straight from Pro Suite to Core. If you are buying Salesforce for the first time, renewing, or comparing it with HubSpot or Dynamics 365, this changes the math.

Checked on October 6, 2026 against Salesforce’s announcement and its Sales pricing page.

What did Salesforce announce on September 3, 2026?

Three editions for Sales, Service and Industries, priced per user per month and billed yearly:

Edition US list price Flex Credits included Salesforce’s own comparison
Core $195 500,000 “70% more value than legacy Enterprise Edition”
Advanced $395 1,000,000 “more than 50% more value than legacy Unlimited Edition”
Max $550 2,750,000 “60% more value than the Agentforce 1 Edition, at no additional cost”

Every edition bundles the same building blocks, in larger amounts as you go up: Agentforce AI, Slack and Slackbot, Tableau Next analytics, a Premier Success Plan, enterprise data security and Flex Credits. Salesforce also said new pricing for Agentforce Industry Editions “will go into effect later this fall.”

The “more value” figures are Salesforce’s own claims about bundled list value. They don’t mean your team will use everything in the bundle.

What happened to Enterprise and Unlimited editions?

On October 6, 2026, Salesforce’s US Sales pricing page lists six options: Free, Starter Suite ($25), Pro Suite ($100), Core ($195), Advanced ($395) and Max ($550). Enterprise and Unlimited are not shown.

Salesforce’s announcement says “existing customer pricing on legacy editions remains unchanged.” So if you run Enterprise or Unlimited today, nothing changes on your current contract. What changes is the conversation at renewal, and what a new buyer is offered. For context, Salesforce raised Enterprise and Unlimited list prices by an average of 6% on August 1, 2025, according to its June 2025 pricing update.

What does this cost a 10-user sales team?

List price only, 10 users, billed yearly:

Edition Per user per month 10 users per year Change from the tier below
Starter Suite $25 $3,000
Pro Suite $100 $12,000 +$9,000
Core $195 $23,400 +$11,400
Advanced $395 $47,400 +$24,000
Max $550 $66,000 +$18,600

The step that matters for most growing teams is Pro Suite to Core. It roughly doubles the license bill and brings AI agents, Slack, Tableau Next and a Premier Success Plan with it. If your team would use those, the bundle may cost less than buying them separately. If you mainly need more customization or automation than Pro Suite allows, compare Core against HubSpot Sales Hub Professional and Dynamics 365 Sales Enterprise, which list at $90 and $105 per user.

Who should act now, and who can wait?

Your situation What to do
Existing Enterprise or Unlimited customer, renewal more than 6 months away Nothing yet. Your pricing is unchanged. Start listing which add-ons you pay for today.
Renewal within 6 months Ask your account executive for both quotes: your current edition and Core or Advanced. Compare against what you actually use, not the bundle’s list value.
Agentforce 1 Edition customer Ask about the no-cost move to Max and confirm the Flex Credit amount in writing.
New buyer, under about 10 users Starter Suite or Pro Suite may cover you. Price Core only if you need what Pro Suite lacks.
New buyer comparing CRMs Re-run comparisons that assumed Enterprise pricing. Older articles quoting Enterprise or Unlimited no longer match the public price list.

Does Dreamforce 2026 change the pricing?

No. Dreamforce ran in September 2026, and Salesforce’s own five takeaways (September 24, 2026) cover AIforce, the Koa model, Slack Code, an enterprise AI governance framework and an Agentforce ROI playbook. None of them comes with a new price. The September 3 editions remain the current pricing change.

What this means for a Salesforce implementation

Editions decide what you can configure, so the edition choice should come before the build plan, not after. Three practical points from implementation work:

  1. Map users to editions by role. Not everyone needs Core. Managers who only read dashboards and reps who only update a few fields may fit lower tiers or other license types; ask what your account executive can quote.
  2. Estimate Flex Credit use before you build agents. An agent that runs on every inbound lead uses credits on every lead. Model the volume, then check it against the included amount.
  3. Don’t migrate editions mid-project. If a renewal falls during a build, settle the edition first so the build targets the features you will actually have.

FAQs

What are Salesforce's Core, Advanced and Max editions?

They are the editions Salesforce introduced on September 3, 2026 for Sales, Service and Industries. Core is $195, Advanced $395 and Max $550 per user per month, billed yearly. Each one bundles Agentforce AI, Slack and Slackbot, Tableau Next analytics, a Premier Success Plan and a set amount of Flex Credits.

Did Salesforce get rid of Enterprise and Unlimited editions?

They are no longer on Salesforce's public Sales pricing page as of October 6, 2026, which now jumps from Pro Suite at $100 to Core at $195. Salesforce says existing customer pricing on legacy editions is unchanged, so current Enterprise and Unlimited customers are not forced to move. New buyers should ask their account executive what can still be quoted.

How much is the Salesforce Core edition?

$195 per user per month, billed yearly, according to Salesforce's announcement and pricing page. It includes 500,000 Flex Credits, Agentforce, Slack, Tableau Next and a Premier Success Plan. Salesforce says Core delivers 70% more value than the legacy Enterprise Edition; that is Salesforce's own claim, not an independent measurement.

Do existing Salesforce customers have to switch to the new editions?

No. Salesforce's announcement says existing customer pricing on legacy editions remains unchanged, and availability is governed by customer agreements. The decision comes up at renewal, when it is worth comparing your current edition plus any add-ons with the bundled price of Core or Advanced.

What happens to Agentforce 1 Edition customers?

Salesforce says they can upgrade to the new Max edition at no extra cost. Max is listed at $550 per user per month, the same as Agentforce 1, and includes 2.75 million Flex Credits.

Is Salesforce still affordable for a small team?

Starter Suite ($25) and Pro Suite ($100) are still on the pricing page and were not part of this change. For a 10-user team billed yearly, that is $3,000 or $12,000 a year in licenses. The new editions matter once a team outgrows Pro Suite, because the next listed step is now Core at $195.

What are Flex Credits?

Flex Credits are Salesforce's consumption unit for Agentforce and other metered AI features. The new editions include a fixed amount per year: 500,000 in Core, 1 million in Advanced and 2.75 million in Max. Usage beyond the included amount is billed separately, so estimate agent volume before choosing an edition.
