Pipedrive Product Updates 2026: Nova, Automation Controls, MCP and Web Form Changes
Pipedrive's own product updates page lists its July, August and September 2026 releases. The biggest is Nova, an AI meeting intelligence tool that became generally available on September 16, 2026 and is included in all plans at no extra cost. Admins also got new automation controls, MCP access settings, Gmail alias sending and web form attribution fields.
Key takeaways
- September 16, 2026: Pipedrive made Nova generally available worldwide. Nova gives pre-call briefs, records and transcribes meetings, and drafts CRM updates you approve. Pipedrive says it is included in all plans at no additional cost.
- September 2026: global admins can edit any automation without taking ownership, activate an automation for a whole team at once, and see how many automations a user owns before deactivating them.
- September 2026: admins can turn Model Context Protocol (MCP) access off in Company Settings. Doing so blocks new connections and removes existing ones, without affecting Marketplace apps or API tokens.
- August 2026: web forms can capture UTM parameters, cookie values such as Google Analytics client IDs, the referral URL and the landing page into hidden fields. Email sequences accept up to 500 contacts.
- July 2026: WhatsApp messaging inside Pipedrive, automated emails sent from the owner, triggering user or a Team Inbox, and required Outcome, Priority or Note fields on activities.
What did Pipedrive release in 2026?
Pipedrive publishes a month-by-month list on its product updates page. The three most recent months at the time of checking (October 14, 2026) are July, August and September 2026. The page dates entries by month, not by day, so this page does the same. The one exception is Nova, whose launch has a press release dated September 16, 2026.
| Month | Area | What shipped |
|---|---|---|
| September 2026 | Nova | AI meeting intelligence, generally available September 16 |

What is Pipedrive Nova and is it free?
Nova is an AI meeting intelligence tool inside Pipedrive. Pipedrive’s announcement, dated September 16, 2026, says it is generally available globally from that date and “included in all Pipedrive plans at no additional cost.”
What Nova does, in Pipedrive’s words and order:
- Before the meeting: pulls context from deal history, emails and past conversations already logged in Pipedrive.
- During the meeting: records the call through the desktop app, or through a visible notetaker in Google Meet, Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
- After the meeting: produces a transcript and summary, highlights next steps, and suggests CRM updates such as deal stage, value and expected close date.
Two controls matter for buyers. Every suggested CRM update is reviewed and approved before it is applied, and admins get user-access controls plus participant consent and notification settings. Because Nova records people, check your own call-recording and consent obligations before turning it on for a team; the notetaker is visible to participants by design.
The one customer figure in the announcement is from Snug, a pilot customer. Its CEO says Nova saves at least half an hour to an hour per deal meeting. That is a vendor-published customer quote about one six-person team, not an independent measurement.
What changed for Pipedrive automations in September 2026?
Four changes, all aimed at admins who inherit other people’s workflows:
- Edit any automation as a global admin. No ownership transfer first. The owner stays the owner for execution and permissions and is notified of edits.
- Activate for the whole team at once. Owners and global admins can activate an automation for all selected users. Individual users can still turn it off for themselves.
- Smoother ownership transfer. The new owner is notified to review and activate it, and the list of users allowed to trigger it stays the same.
- Deactivation safeguards. Before you deactivate a user, admins see how many active automations that user owns and can transfer them. Automations owned by deactivated users also show in the list view, the overview dashboard and Data cleanup.
July’s changes complement these: automated emails can be sent from the automation owner, the deal or account owner, the triggering user or a connected Team Inbox, and steps can be copied and pasted on the automation canvas. What can AI assistants do in Pipedrive through MCP?
Pipedrive’s September 2026 notes list two MCP additions and one control. From an external AI assistant you can manage products (build quotes, update pricing, pull product files, images and purchase histories) and manage leads (create, search, list and update leads, view full details, convert qualified leads to deals). The control is in Company Settings: turning MCP off immediately blocks new connections and removes existing ones, and leaves Marketplace apps and API tokens alone.
If your company has not decided whether AI assistants may read CRM data, that switch is the place to make the decision explicit rather than leaving it to individual users.
What changed in Pipedrive web forms and attribution?
August 2026 is the stronger release for marketers. Pipedrive says forms can now pass JavaScript variables (such as plan tier or account ID) into hidden fields, capture UTM parameters automatically, pull browser cookie values such as Google Analytics client IDs or Segment anonymous IDs, and add the form’s ID or name, the referral URL and the landing page to the CRM record. September added a rule that matters for sales teams: when a known contact or lead resubmits a form, Pipedrive keeps the current owner by default and applies the form’s default owner only to unowned records. Admins can switch on enforced default assignment instead.
What changed in Pipedrive email and sequences?
| Date | Change |
|---|---|
| September 2026 | Choose any verified Gmail alias as sender (Personal and Team Gmail connections); two-way archiving between Gmail and the Pipedrive Sales Inbox |
| September 2026 | Provider-level failure reasons, such as full mailbox, failed authentication or rate limits, in Outbox with instant retry |
| August 2026 | Failed-send tracking and one-click retry from deal, person, organization, project and lead views |
| August 2026 | Deal participants auto-added as recipients; merge fields allowed inside links in templates |
| August 2026 | Up to 500 contacts in an email sequence |

Does anything here change Pipedrive pricing or plans?
Not according to the pages checked. The product updates page and the Nova announcement do not announce plan price changes. The only plan statement is Nova being included in all plans. Current plan prices and the free-trial question are covered in the Pipedrive CRM guide and does Pipedrive have a free plan; confirm against Pipedrive’s pricing page before buying.
What this means for you
- Sales managers: pilot Nova on a few reps first, and set the consent and notification options before the first recorded call.
- Pipedrive admins: audit which automations belong to people who have left, then use the new edit and transfer controls. Decide your MCP policy in Company Settings.
- Marketers: add UTM and landing page capture to forms and check that existing contacts keep the right owner after resubmission.
- Teams comparing CRMs: Pipedrive now bundles meeting AI at no extra cost, which changes comparisons against tools that charge per AI seat; see Pipedrive vs Salesforce. If you want a Pipedrive setup or cleanup scoped, see our Pipedrive implementation services or contact us.
